This question was brought to the fore in hilarious fashion after a popular Port-Harcourt based Pastor was caught on Sunday inside a Bet9ja shop, placing bets on English premier League and Spanish La Liga games.The problem? That same Sunday morning, he had led a vitriolic sermon in church condemning Sports Betting and bettors, saving the most bile specifically for Bet9ja, claiming the business and all its users were “all sinners bound for hell”.

He was spotted by a congregant passing by the shop, who recognized him and yelled “PASTOR, YOU SEF DEY DO LIKE DIS?!”

He quickly replied the congregant saying he was there “by the Spirit” to look at score predictions to inspire the Bible verses for his next sermon. In the middle of his explanation, a Bet9ja attendant came out and handed him a betslip saying “Oga see am o, we don play your game”
