If Buhari and Tinubu had supported GEJ and Okonjo-Iweala with their good idea of removing subsidy in 2012...by now we would have had a flow of investment into the downstream sector, and new refinery (not just Dangote refinery). But they refused...and now that subsidy is an albatross around their neck economically, they have come to their senses and decided to remove subsidy.

Also, oil is below $80. We need it at $140. Meaning we are chornically short of money, and have hand to borrow excessively. If you want subsidy to stay, then be prepared for more loans

Also, why pay a few corrupt individulas and cabals and smugglers billions in naira...so that they can hold us to ransom?

Subsidy must go. It is a good policy for Nigeria.

And thanks to subsidy, we spend billions that could have been used for refinery, railways, hospitals, schools, etc.

Corruption is our problem not subsidy. national assembly, Governors and other government agencies milk us dry from their expense. Even if subsidy is removed who will handle the money from it? Is it not the same Governors, ministers, Nass etc that will handle it? Let's forget all these. Nigeria is ready to move forward for electing pdp or Apc. We need someone with vision. But Atiku is never an option. He's too desperate and a crook.
