It is done in several countries outside of Nigeria.
(Benin Republic, Cameroun, Ghana, Cote D'ivoire, Ethopia, South Africa, Britain, Saudi Arabia).
You take the exam abroad so you could get into Nigerian universities.

Psalmist123:

Sure I will relax cos there is nothing I can do..
The thing is that am just praying for ASUU not to begin strike back when we are suppose to resume.
That's when people will start crying
Cos I see that they already reminding FG about their last agreement
Psalmist123:

That is the point. They were not the only one that went on strike but why is their own so slow?
Imagine, they still gave the staylites 2weeks break as if the 3months ASUU gave them was not okay.
It kept me wondering

It is in Nigeria I see that admission seekers of previous year are still at home while the current year applicants have already through with their matriculation examination. This means if you obtain UTME in November 19,you must be expecting your admission in 2021.

That's how every student at UI rants and banter until they resume,when they've resumed, they care less about UI's slow academic calendar. Call a student of UI,and ask some questions, you'll understand better
This has made me feel there's something spectacular which keeps them going and makes the slow calendar insignificant

What is this one saying now, ITK.

You can't paste the full link here on nairaland and that was the reason why the sender can't send the full link, I was the one that brought the idea of putting space in between the address so that it can be shown fully instead of shorten it.

UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN, IBADAN
OFFICE OF THE VICE-CHANCELLOR
VICE-CHANCELLOR’S ADDRESS TO CONGREGATION ON FRIDAY, 12 APRIL 2019
Dear Congregation Members,
1. I greet you very warmly on behalf of the Council, Senate and all members of the Management team of our University. Your dedication to the wellbeing and development of our cherished University is very much appreciated. You have collectively contributed immensely to the measure of success recorded by the University in recent times in the areas of training, research and community service. It is on record that the University of Ibadan remains top on the ranking list of Nigerian Universities in the world since 2017. University remains in the 601-800 category of the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking.
2. In spite of obvious challenges assailing us, we remain steadfast in the pursuit of the realisation of our vision to be a world-class institution for academic excellence geared towards meeting societal needs. Hence, an immediate goal, as indicated in my previous address to you, is for us to move University of Ibadan from the 601-801 THE category to the 250+ category. With our collective efforts, this is attainable, and I hereby challenge all of us, as vital stakeholders, in the University of Ibadan project to effectively synergise our resources and energies towards the realisation of this goal.
3. The current 2017/2018 academic session commenced on 15 April 2018 and would have ended on 29 January 2019 but for the industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) between November 2018 and February 2019.
4. Nonetheless, it is gratifying to note that since the suspension of the ASUU industrial action in February 2019, the second semester lectures have been conducted and all undergraduate examinations have been concluded. Results are being processed and will be considered for approval of Senate between 20 and 21 May, 2019 when the 2017/2018 academic session will end, everything being equal.
5. By the grace of God, the 2018/2019 academic session will commence on 1 June 2019.
6. As we all know, we live in a problem-solving world. There will always be challenges to address as an academic institution the same way there will always be issues and challenges that beg for attention in all phases and spheres of life. I wish to draw our attention to the need for all of us to always endeavour to innovately seek positive means to address issues and resolve problems in ways that will facilitate the realisation of our primary interests and goals as well as our institutional vision. As I did at the last meeting of congregation, I again implore us to think outside the box and seek new and more effective ways of addressing our institutional challenges.
7. Two of the major problems hindering the realisation of our institutional goals and vision and which also impede our academic productivity, global visibility and global ranking are poor funding and unstable academic calendar. As a result of the instability in our calendar, we lose a lot more than many of us could possibly imagine. Hence, it is imperative that we collectively seek means of ensuring that our calendar is stabilised and regularised. I sincerely hope and pray that the 2018/2019 academic session, to commence in June 2019 will be hitch free.
8. While the University can do with a lot of additional funds, it is at least pleasing to note that salaries have been paid regularly since our last meeting.
9. May I, at this point, draw our attention to the fact that we have one person attending the meeting of the Congregation today, for the first time, as a principal officer: Prof. A.B. Ekanola assumed the office of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) on 13 March 2019. He is a Professor of Philosophy and a Former Dean, Faculty of Arts. He was up till the time of his preferment the Director, Office of International Programmes. Please join me to wish him tremendous success in office.
10. The University continues to improve on the state of infrastructure on campus. We have endeavoured to renovate halls of residence and carry out routine maintenance. We have also done our best, in spite of inadequate funding to repair our roads. Liard Road and Crowther Lane are examples.
11. Between 2018 and now, we have made good progress with a number of capital projects. These include:
A. Vertical Extension of Department of Physiology, and Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics Building funded by the Chief Nathaniel O. Idowu Foundation
B. Construction of Office Complex for the University of Ibadan Research Foundation funded by Rt Hon Chevalier Dr Justus Itsueli
C. Completion of Aliko Dangote Complex UI School of Business, funded by Alhaji Aliko Dangote
D. Completion of Six Flats for Staff Quarters by Senior Staff Housing Allocation Committee
E. Completion of University Alumni Postgraduate Hall
F. Extension of the Bode Amoo Creche/Nursery School funded by Chief (Dr) Bode Amao, the Asiwaju of Ibadan
I. Completion of Centre for Educational Media Resource Centre
J. Extension of Faculty of Technology Building
Faculty of Environmental Design and Management

12. At the last convocation ceremony (between 12 and 17 November 2018), a total of 14,636 graduands were awarded various degrees of our University: 134 Diplomas, 9,661 Bachelor Degrees Including students from the Distance Learning Centre and our 14 Affiliated Institutions), 163 Postgraduate Diplomas, 4,307 Master Degrees, 370 Ph.Ds and 1 MD.
13. Distinguished congregation members, again on behalf of Council, Senate and all members of the Management team of the University of Ibadan, I thank you profusely for your continued efforts to achieve the strategic goals and realise the vision of our University. I am convinced that as we continue to work together as a team, we will achieve the University of Ibadan of our dreams, that is, one that is truly the best in Nigeria and one of the best globally.
Thank you and God bless.

Are you a newly admitted student into The UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN?
Do you belong to the Faculties of Science and Technology?
Will you be taking science courses?
Are you looking for a way to spank without much stress?

```Then, something big is about to go down!!!```
It's quite normal for students to face a whole lot of distraction as a result of the new environment they find themselves in and they only sit up when they perform below expectations in their first test.
Do you want to exempt yourself from this category of people?
If yes, then I present to you TOPPERS TUTORIAL.
Marcogenius. He'll put you through on Physics 102 and ZOO 114 (Cell and Genetics).
Math Niyi – one of the best graduating students in Math, University of Ibadan. He'll guide you on Math, with Engineer Mayor.
Fola will clear every roadblock ZOO 116 (Invertebrate Zoology) attempts to bring to you.
You've not heard it all.
