After they will say they ran out of bullets during operation ....
They are in the jungle. When there's no attack, they must do something. Part of which is what they are doing. Mastering thier shooting skills.
Please note that, whether they do this or not, ammunition will still finish as they engage bandits/militants/boko most times for several hours with sporadic gun shots. You'll shot till your finger refuses to straighten/stretch. Till your gun becomes warm.
The shooting practice is their game to maintain balance and get ready.

Have you ever watched US Soldiers take this kind of exercise? Then you'd ask yourself if they're getting these ammunitions for free or what? No. They don't get them for free but they took national defense serious. An American Ammunition manufacturing factory produces 1million ammunitions per hour.
Nigeria is no longer supposed to rely on arms importation but rather manufacturing. Nigeria is old enough to have defense factory. Nigeria is old enough to have it's own design of military hardwares and not always about importation but what do we have? Shared defense funding.
what of proforcehuh

Just asking

DICON that cannot produce up to 2000 rifles a year, is that one an arms factory?
tell Bubu to fund them and watch them change the armed force immediately.
Mind you the bulletproof vest and helmet the soldier's wore today are their making bro.

True....... the vests and webbings are in partnership with an Israeli company you forgot to add.

But we should start small even if.

It is a shame that DICON exists and Nigeria still imports small arms ammunition.

Kenya and Sudan, among other "small" African countries produce ALL their small arms ammunition locally.

Even dey export to earn US$ sef.

M4 ke?!

No swear for these boys now.. Upgraded Kala I agree, Beryl I agree, Tavor I agree but M4?

It is very un-rugged and always needs love/maintenance/cleaning.

In our harsh environment this equals to regular random/unexpected weapons stoppage due to fouling.

Make weapons stoppage no be wetin go begin cost boys their life biko.

I thought DICON is the name of Nigeria defense firm. Though underfunded.

You're right though... but that's because we are not ready to develop this nation due to those who have always hijacked power even when they have nothing to offer the masses nor the nation itself than show off of power.

Ok ......why dont u pay a visit to a Power Station in the country, i bet u wont find any of them Working @full Capacity....why huh
Cos d Discos cant dstribute power effectively despite the Billions of dollars FG is pumping into them. I have worked @a power station before and i understand that none of them is working @full capacity. Dont blame the Govt for that , blame these Discos na dem dey cause am. Nigeria has about 20,000MW installed but barely producing 6,000MW .
I could remember sometime in 2015 when we received a phone call in the control room from TCN that we should cut down own generation, we had to shut off about 2 Turbines. Within one hour we received another call and we had to power off another one. Technically we removed 60MW from d grid within 2hrs.....why ?? cos the Assholes TCN are complaining of too much power on the Grid...and they cant transmit/dustribute everything
