Tijjani Muhammad-Bande Elected United Nations General Assembly President by Nazarethnaza: 6:00pm On Jun 04, 2019
Professor Tijjani Mohammed Bande, a former Vice chancellor of Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has been elected as President of the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA.

Professor Tijjani Mohammed Bande who was elected as the President of UNGA through acclamation at the 87th plenary meeting of the Assembly in New York on Tuesday, stood as the only candidate.  He is the second Nigerian to hold the office after Joseph Garba, a retired military officer and diplomat, who led the organ between 1989 and 1990. He will be inaugurated in September.

The international community respects Buhari so much. All other candidates stepped down for Nigeria's candidate to be elected unopposed. What a great leader we have. IPOB can go and be president of wailers and criers.
