Does e-voting entails casting and counting online?
If so, I'm not sure we are ripe for it as a Nation, because even the almighty USA elections were meddled into by Russia

what about those NYSC Corp members that INEC sent to the field without security.... Most even lost their live at the End you INEC came up with an already prepared and rig result... God will punish you evil dowers

For those advocating electronic voting, the only problem I see with it is DDOS. I don't know what the solution to that could be.

DDOS is the same as ballot box snatching, where people won't be able to cast their votes.

The literary level of technology isn't a problem as people claim. many said this same thing when phones came by. with out Illiteracy level in Nigeria. millons are able to make use of phones and ATM with little or no assistance.
That aside, for me I suggest we mount cameras in all polling unit a day to the election and record every polling unit from start to finish, all ballout box should be made indestructible and unmovable by mounting them on platform strong attached to the ground.

Till today many Nigerians don't know how to use the ATM machine. You need to visit rural areas countrywide to see things for yourself.

i have said this time without number, that this will be the worse elections in the history of this country. axcept those who would not say the truth because of their party affiliation, it is indeed a show of shamelessness on this government. from the inec guy, you would believe that almost all the allegations are true. that inec staff were held hostage, using military and other security agencies. it is a pity for mr. integrity.

DDOS can be easily be mitigated against by ensuring that industry grade firewalls and secure servers are used. Also a team of cybersecurity experts should be on standby. The voting machine takes care of authentication and accreditation but it can also be done manually as backup if necessary. And also its not like these servers can be accessed from a website. The hacker has to go to the location physically making it easier for him to get caught. Except he is working with inec officials.. thats why I would prefer bank servers cos they are more secure and No bank will allow just anyone access no matter how much they want to bribe them with.

How can a security expert differentiate between malicious and legit traffic? They both request the same webpages.
Also, it's not as if the bad guys are bruteforcing the server. They are accessing the server from different IP addresses simultaneously.

And also its not like these servers can be accessed from a website

DDOS just means that a server is bombarded with bogus traffic from 100's of 1000's of IP addresses. That keeps the server so busy, that legit users cannot load the webpage.

So on voting day, if the servers are ddos'd, voters cannot load the webpage, and hence, cannot vote.
If you know the solution to that, please share it.

Russia did it to Estonia a long time ago. I don't know how Estonia overcame it.

The constitution says people must come out to vote. you are talking about about online voting. that's different from e Voting and more secure to implement. Estonia uses voting machines .. similar to using atms as voting machines.
