You dont remember anything, his father was the one who returned from exile to reclaim the throne in 1993...this particular king ascended the throne in 2003.

He actually succeeded his dad Sir Olateru Olagbegi II in 1999. Only that he officially got the staff of office from late Gov. Agagu in 2003.

You are partially right, but aja literally is an enclosure... so the inside the ceiling is aja oke(full pronunciation) or aja short form. Aja ile is underground cave. Hope that is clear?

Well, I believe in monoculture. I don't want people with divided loyalty and monoculture preserves our cultural identity. I have friends like that who are confused. Nigeria is doing a lot of damage to Yoruba culture.

Then why not just have a country of Yoruba only? And let Biafra and others go. Since mixing with others also dilute Yoruba culture. And you said you want a country of unity and diversity? What I really find funny is that Yoruba the claim of being generally accommodating. When in fact the mentality you expressed is very common among the lower classes.

I have noticed that inconsequential people among the Yorubas are the most tribalistic. The elite and aristocracy know much better.

Seems you are part of the inconsequential people. Wanting a nation of Yorubas only doesn't translate to tribalism and I'm not the one holding biafrans from leaving. You just showed your class stupidity if what I wrote depicts tribalism to you.

That is how agbero class in Yoruba land swear and runaway when fights break out.

Where I come from you won't even know before I cut you down. I will not waste my time cursing a possible immigrant to Yorubaland from Benue or other Northern part of Nigeria. Those who do not know their family history beyond 3 generations back. You clearly have no pedigree let alone from a first class royal house in Yorubaland.

There are many like you whose only idea of Yorubaness is bigotry. At a time the elite are marrying from across the country, you are still stuck with a medieval mindset of the poor people, since the elite and royalty always married from across tribes even centuries back.

Absolute dreg that drag Yoruba name in the mud. Shame.

The agberos are far more noble and fearless than anyone in your lineage. You dare not look an agbero eyeballs to eyeballs. I can swear on that. Don't you think denigrating agberos makes you any better. They are hardworking people working their asses off for their pay.

You just display your crass and innate tomfoolery. You veered off on an innocuous discuss to a dumb postulations because you are on a faceless forum. I have always known you for your dumbness so it's no surprise.

FYI, I'm a full blooded Yoruba from a royal household and my lineage do not mix our blood with mongrels and dregs like you that's why I'm very proud of myself. Whether you like it or not, you chaffs will be separated from the freeborns. Now go play in the mud with your fellow pigs.

Name the Royal household and prove it. Talk is cheap. Prove it and I will come from my base to take you there myself if I have to. Better still we get an independent person to do it.

No proper Yoruba blooded person is a low grade agbero like you even. Only former slaves who adopted Yoruba culture.

I challenge you to prove your royal lineage. A first class royal house I mean. Not some white cap chief or Baale.

I nominate Mynd44 to oversee and scrutinise the proof you and I will provide. I will even pay for his time and transport to our both families. Now you have no excuse to decline.
You can nominate another reputable Nairalander of your choice too.

I am waiting. Because some people spew nonsense they cannot prove on Nairaland. They think everyone is else is same.

The current sad event will even make it easier for Mynd44 to prove it as family members are in town aplenty.

Please respond fast.
Good that you are l proud. But pride goes before a fall. Which reasonable person bases pride just on tribe in this modern world? Why does anyone have to even mention what is not even an issue?

Reasonable people take pride in their achievements and what they have contributed to uplift their tribe, state, country and mankind. What use is a world full of bigoted proud people that cannot see beyond their noses? grin
My friend you are not even in the mix talkless of being chaff or wheat. grin

Cc. Mynd44. I will sponsor your trip from wherever in the world you reside.
