The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has convicted the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen and has banned him from holding any public office for 10 years.

Highest public officer to be found guilty by CCT.

Unfortunately, the dumbest CJN who actually admitted to the offense and still refused to resign while taking the not guilty plea.

See how Nigerian lawyers can mess someone but on this case that someone is the highest lawyer on the land. Its a series or multiple shame on Onnoghen.

Great. Considering the ripple effects their corrupt practices have on the average Nigerian, this penalty is not even stiff enough. The law supercedes all. I hope other corrupt public officials are convicted in no distant time. Let this serve as a deterrent to others.
