We will not succumb to your American panic inducing prediction again; Nigeria will continue to recover and be great again; if we had believed you the country would have long broken up since 2015 - but guess what; we are still waxing strong and moving forward, even though slowly. |

We should learn how to develop a country and make a country work for the country people. That’s all that’s Needed, Sowore would have done a great job for Nigeria and Nigerians but with Buhari all hope is lost |

mychiveous:Majority of those chanting for Lefellendum were insincere; they quickly jumped ship at the chance to Atikulate; now that they have lost, some of them can be heard begging for deputy Senate plesident seat or Speaker of the HOR - oga that narrative is now stale. |

Nigeria should have program similar to the Singapore's "Stop at Two". Provide a carrot and stick. A carrot for stopping at two and a stick for going above. Or better, provide qualitative education. In India some years ago, the average annual population growth rate was 2.3%. However in the state of Kerala which has a well educated populace, the growth rate was only 1.2%. Many of my married rates rarely go beyond 2. In my congregation, I know of 3 couples who have only a child and it's obvious they want no more. One of the couples has only a girl. They are Esan. |

NaMeAboki:Aboki. Instead of you to worry about our ballooning population and the increasing competition for very scarce resources which has resulted in a sharp and increasing decrease in the standard of living, you are talking about waxing stronger. So in your mind Nigeria is waxing stronger. |

NaMeAboki:The man us telling the truth. The number of babies born in Nigeria yearly is higher than those born in the whole of the EU including Russia. Our unchecked and uncontrolled population growth is a time bomb waiting to explode. |

RTSC:Only pessimists cannot see that we are slowly moving in the right direction. Our population is an economic asset and will manifest itself once we achieve food security. First world indigenous populations in Europe and America are contracting and they are afraid of assimilation from immigrants; hence some of the scare tactics and population control measures targeted at the 3rd world who are seen as serious potential emigration threat. |

NaMeAboki:Unless you not sincere to yourself soon than you think the north won't be safer for the likes of you and the so-called elites. The population explosion in the north would be the greatest undoing for your people, I just hope you won't run away cause they will hunt the elites down. |
| Re: Nigeria About To Experience A Tough Economic Situation — US Government by wirinet(m): 11:08pm On Apr 18, 2019 |
NaMeAboki:How can we achieve food security with climate change? The Sahara is accelerating south, the rainforest is being devastated, erosion is taking over the east and the Atlantic is accelerating north. All these will lead to fights for the few available fertile lands. Uncontrolled population is never an asset, else countries like China and India will not work so hard to control their population. Uncontrolled population is like a man bearing uncontrolled children while earning the same wages. With each child the family gets poorer. Even emigration is a temporary measure. The whole world needs to control world population. The earth has finite space and resources and is finding it difficult providing for 7 billion humans. Now if we double to 14 billion, which we are projected to do in the next 50 or so years, that will be catastrophic. |
