Nigeria's population growth is ever increasing. There is no decrease in births at all.

And that is a problem on the rest of the world because the vast majority would be praying to or trying to immigrate.

Breaking up will achieve nothing, in fact breaking up will exasperate our problems. If Nigeria breaks into 4 or 6 components, all the components will be highly unstable except probably the south west. The north east and North West will become an Islamic terrorist country. The middle belt will become Fulani herdsmen battle ground. The south east will be in a perpetual state of civil war due to power struggle - IPOB vs MASSOB vs Biafra Zionist movement, Igbo majority vs minorities (which had always been an issue in the old eastern region). The NigerDelta would also be in a state of perpetual conflict as various states, tribes and clans fight for control of oil resources. And worst still the different components would then became a pawn and bargaining chips of foreign powers like the US, China, UK, France, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc. This what is happening in Venezuela right now.

China's strength is not its population, it's in its ability manage and control it's population. If China had not started managing it's population from 1970s, it would never have developed.

Canada is undepopulated given its size and rescources. Canada the second largest country in the world in terms of land mass has a population of least than 40 million. That's about the population of the South East. Canada definitely needs to increase its population.

Unless you not sincere to yourself soon than you think the north won't be safer for the likes of you and the so-called elites. The population explosion in the north would be the greatest undoing for your people, I just hope you won't run away cause they will hunt the elites down.

A large population becomes a problem only if you cannot feed yourself; once you can attain food security then you are over halfway there; because a large population drives consumption which in turn drives the economy; if you can add production on top of that then you have virtually achieved the basic foundation of self sustainability.
Current diversification towards agriculture (amongst others) is moving us towards food security and therefore a step in the right direction; improvement in our infrastructure, power, revival of our (Ajakuta) steel sector along with restriction on our erstwhile frivolous importation would also boost and protect local production - I am therefore not worried because all these policies are already in place and beginning to bear fruit; even though slowly - China and India went through similar experience and we all know what they are today.

Du u know the fastest growing economy in the world for the past three years is Ethiopia..?

Y not Japan, South Africa and the USA...that is because...the government of Ethiopia has began to put things right...they are growing the capital asset of that country and investors are taking advantage thus it's government has started to create a vast middle class whose aggregate demand if pushing it's GDP upwards.....

Ethiopia's is the next most populated country in the African continent after Nigeria. No formal of birth control was instituted....but the economy is fast roaring to life even without natural resources.....her population is aiding it's vast aggregate demand nd human resources availability........

Population control is for nations with very limited resources and without much potential..not for countries who have very large potential of growth and who can also use this same army of people to intimidate every other nation I its advancement.......

If leadership was about commandeering all the national resources to one's constituency at the expense of others; then you should be thankful that northerners had so far not been like that; otherwise the north would have been like Dubai today and many of you our boi boi or slaves.
