Rivers will pay whatever is prescribed as minimum wage. Too much money. Then why wait for the law before making the lives of your people better? |

yjgm:If Edo state can not pay minimun wage which states that is non crude oil producing state that can pay it in the first place. ADAM OSHIOMOLE LABOUR SPIRIT STILL DEY WORK FOR EDO STATE. Most of our northern states are in a position to pay this minimun wage but for their overdependent on Niger delta crude oil money. When can you grow up if you continue this FEEDING BOTTLE STYLE OF GOVERNMENT when you are in a position to double your effort in Agriculture and make big money. They will continue to be day dreaming about crude oil price and abandoning agriculture. If some of the states in Nigeria face mechanized agriculture and produce exportable agric products they will make huge amount of money. If their governors and other political leaders are not corrupt they can survive without federal government allocation. But for the corrupt way of life they do not want to think outside the box. Most of the lazy governors believes so much in FEDERAL ALLOCATION FROM ABUJA which they loot with utmost reckless abandon. Bail out funds they also loot. |

massinola:The rise of the minimum wage from 5500 to 18000 on the part of Jonathan was fiscal recklessness on his part and the country paid dearly for it He did so because the following year an election year and was desperate for workers votes. This wage increase helped in eating up the foreign reserves and led to government to engage in borrowing at a time crude oil prices were over a $100 per barrel It also decreased the amount of money that could be channeled to capital spending by both the federal and state governments. Most state governors groaned at this increase |

ETHIX:I hear they make over 1 billion as IGR every month , yet we don't know where the money is going to. Probably feeding the fat bellies of some highly corrupt eko strongmen. So much money, so much debt, very little impact. |
