wirinet:I will forget about Ojukwu for now because when sought for the independence of his people was military times, naturally, there had to be a military outcome. But we are now in civilian rule. Zik and the other nationalists did call the British derogatory names. Zik had a Newspaper called the West African Pilot in which he lambasted Britain for seizing the political and economic wealth if Nigeria. Thats where he started his independence struggle, pretty much as Nnamdi Kanu started his own struggle from Radio Biafra. The one advantage Zik, Awolowo, Bode Thomas and other independence agitators had was that British were a civilised people. The British could have easily declared "operation python dance", chased Zik and the others away with the might of the British Army, killed their supporters and declared the rest as "terrorists" just like the Nigerian government did to IPOB and Kanu. But the British realised that it was wrong to hold people against their will and allowed negotiations to begin which allowed Nigeria independence from Britain in 1960 Is the Nigerian government allowing any sort of negotiations that will eventually allow the Biafrans a way out of Nigeria? Of course not. They are not as civilised as the British |

searchlight:How are they better than anyone in this country when they are the slaves and the Economic Migrants of Nigeria? Oyo state alone is bigger than Entire South East but South East can not even surpass Oyo in term of Development, South West is not the mate of South East considering how small you are and you are still the Vagabond and Economic Migrants of Nigeria |

OyiboOyibo:i just want to read n pass b4 but I have to let u know u are a fool. changing history will do u no good cos we all know d truth. the igbos betrayed d south n form alliance with the north to they can remain in power but their friendship turned sour due to d egoistic nature of the igbos n they turned worst enemy which led to d civil war where igbos were killed like fowls, on realising d calm n wise nature of d Yoruba's who were watching from a distance d hausas approached d Yoruba's n they formed government till present day Nigeria n the igbos were chased away like dogs cos we know them. so till eternity no Nigerian can never trust an igbo man. that's y d pdp they have given their live to will never think of giving them a trial cos they are not marketable n no one will vote for an igbo person. u said Yoruba's betrayed d igbos, ask yourself. d first ceremonial president of Nigeria happens to b an igbo man n d Prime Minister then was an Hausa man just to show u d chemistry between hausas n igbos despite d fact that hausas never fought for anything. after Yoruba n igbo cook food finish, igbo man carry food go meet Hausa man, Hausa man outsmart am collect pot come give am back to Yoruba make Dem dey chop. so ask yourself, who d betrayer is? |

sarrki:Thanks for this records probably from the British archives. It will add to the records we previously had about this great woman. The much well known records we used to hear about Fela 's mother is that she is the first woman to drive a car in Nigeria. She was seen driving a car in Ibadan, south western Nigeria in the early 1960s. Local people then were perplexed with that achievement as at then in Nigeria. |
