Well, I wouldn’t be posting this if not for my recent encounter with them.

I purchased some products with one being defective; at first, I need to commend on their delivery rate. I placed an ORDER for POD and got it in less than 48hrs, it was so unbelievable. For a moment I thought I was in the State (USA of course) and possible reasons why the delivery could be that fast even with POD method selected...

Oh, Maybe the JUMIA Express thing which AMAZON call theirs FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon), I see similarities, and honestly, this is a good approach to Nigeria e-commerce sector.

I wasn’t chanced to open some on the delivery day, Fast track to 2-3 days later, I tried putting the machine to work but all no avail – This baby beast won’t work as expected. What do I do now? The suggestion came to put the support on phone which I did after 3-4 hrs of still trying to troubleshoot to make sure the product was really defective;

Putting a call through wasn’t much of an hassle as I was welcomed with this beautiful voice from the other side – At first, I lost track and in lust with the voice, seem JUMIA did this on purpose as to make customers forget their troubles, but my momma prayers brought me back to life – Triggered and pushed out my worries.

She welcomed all my complaint and promised to make something up....

I was told I would be contacted by their logistic guy in 2-3 days to attempt picking the defected product and possible refund if found truly defective -That’s totally ok with me since I have other products picked up time with no complain.

They say customers is king, for years I thought Nigeria makes an exemption –

But JUMIA made me look like a King of Dubai, being on throne like the white walker on GOT Final Seasonal Cover dishing out instructions with best suitable time for me pick up with support following up with text and calls to see if someone did pick up the defective item.

I thought the moment would last forever but the day came and the product got picked up; Oh, my I lost my throne and workers.


Did I my refund?

Well, I wouldn’t be posting this if I didn’t, Got my refund in my bank account with the delivery fee which I paid to have the product shipped in the first place.

Would I buy again from these guys again?

Oh Yes! I’m loving the King thing. Knowing so well a defective product could quickly get return without pain in the ass.

Final Verdict: It’s 2019, I think KONGA lost it – Tables turn – JUMIA Owns the floooor Now.

What happened to Konga?.....Jumia delivered my Nokia X5 before 48hrs .. and my hair clipper in 48hrs.....am very much impressed

In my state jumia takes up to 4-5 days before delivery.

Konga is dead

I bought a defective clipper from them and I am still waiting for the past three days for them to pick it up.

I have come to the conclusion that Nigerians do not know how to create a global business with good customer service,you can see this in Konga a purely Nigerian company.

I have done two returns and I have been refunded accordingly. One was a knock off item from a China seller and the second one was a wrong item sent. They have improved over the years.

For konga, their problem start with their website. You are on page 7 and you see an item and you click for further details. When you click/go back, it will take you to page 1, after much scrolling and wasting of data. They should work on that to encourage buyer visit their site. That for me is a complete turn off.

They lost funding - They running in debt .
They couldn't help it .. investors pulling they bye string.

I was a fan of Konga years back, but not anymore. Konga is dead, Jumia is the best now.
