no you can’t , but whatever app you are looking for on android and whatever that app can do , there is an app on iPhone that is similar

The 6s is still a pretty capable phone..maybe you got one with a defective battery or some rogue operations in the background is draining your battery..as for downloading, there are 3rd party apps for that..you can download movies and songs with them but can only access them in the app...or you can go my preferred route, which is to fund your iTunes account and download stuffs to your hearts content(cost a little bit)..the third option is to jailbreak your phone and customise it just like in Android devices...
