I may be wrong but I do believe that like other regions of Islamic extremism, there is always a high rate of support from their communities. This is why the terrorists can easily re-group after each hit on them, there are always a hundred recruits ready to replace one dead one. This I believe because they share common beliefs and ideology. They really do believe they are obeying God's command. So what does the North really want? How can we stop this bloodshed? What will it take to end this for good? Is it to establish Sharia in the North? Is it to throw away western education entirely in the North? Does the North want their own country because they must admit they cannot force the entire country to accept their ways as we cannot force them to accept our ways? How do we resolve the herdmen problem for good? How can we be good neighbours despite our differences? How do they resolve with Northerners who feel differently? Which way forward? |

It means FG is correct, how will the emir agree to ban vigilantee members, that's nonsense. |

This is alarming and it really calls for concerns. Saboteurs are gaining momentum in the fight against insurgency and herdsmen brutality. |

How many people have noted how Miyetti Allah is a recurring component of all the bloodshed and violence in the north, and how the government has done nothing about this but has been quick to proscribe IPOB because of crude oil politics. Also note how this government continues to squander resources and innocent lives in its frantic search for crude oil in the north. For the northerners, Project Nigeria is all about access to other people's land and natural resources |

Gandollar:You really didn't counter me at because first of all you asserted I was wrong as a matter of fact but then you presented a hypothesis (not proven) which itself if proven could not disprove my assertion. That is to say that they bandits coukd have multiple sources of info, but in the context of a secret mission (if such exists), what I've suggested is a more probably source. The first person I replied to stated that flight missions are usually secret so I was pointing out that there is another way that espionage usually works. I didn't say there is no incidence of internal espionage or sabotage either. For you to say I'm wrong you must prove that flight details are leaked by internal informants. Good luck with that. What I've said are obvious facts that have been alluded to several times by military authorities IE that local communities are supporting these criminal elements. Troops dont wear invisibility cloaks. As they move from their base towards where these bandits stay, the communities in between obviously are aware of their movement and the bandits know the local terrain very well. Contrary to what you seem to believe, the troops don't leave the base and arrive at the target immediately. Some of these raids may require hours for the forces to converge at the location, and this means once the bandits have an idea they are coming, they can prepare. Speaking of ambushes however, has there been any report that soldiers where successfully ambushed by bandits? |

The happening insurgencies in the entire North has to do with one claiming the ownership of the other zone so their leaders are the major sponsors of destructions going on in the entire North and without holding them to Ransome the killings and destruction of different communities will continue unabated. |

GidiWoodsMan:There is too much ethnic sentiments in this post. What should the government do about Miyetti Allah? Is Miyetti Allah a terrorist group or a secessionist group? |

SmartyPants:I get the point you are making that even if I was right, it still doesn't mean you are wrong. Yes, good luck to me in proving that flight details are leaked by internal informants , I was not there, not a soldier, neither one of the bandits ![]() Having said that, I have relatives in the Army rank and file and it is through them we get to hear about some of these things which again are mere suspicions because I have not been told by them yet that there's been a court marshal of army personnels suspected to be informants to these evil people. Their strong suspicions have been based on the manner by which supposedly classified info about strategies and countered brutally by the opposing forces in the field. I lost an in-law very dear to me three years ago to BH around Kafanchan. They were conveying a large cache of arms to maiduguri from Lagos when out of nowhere, in the middle of no where, they were ambushed and finished off by BH, with a few soldiers surviving but with serious injuries. Though you seem to be harping on bandits, but I classify them all as terrorists and the internet is awash with many instances of very deadly ambushes. If the zamfara bandits have not recorded any successful ambush of soldiers yet, it is a matter of time judging from the tone of the bandit speaking with the emir. |

BluntTheApostle:By their fruits. . . Yes, Miyettti Allah is a terrorist group because it has been linked with mayhem and bloodshed in the north/middle-belt hundreds of times over the past several years. The group has even claimed responsibility for specific acts of terror perpetrated against defenceless communities once or twice. Isn't it incredible how ethnic alliances/sentiments has so beclouded your perception of the world that you've actually started believing our own propaganda and lies. It's the real tragedy of Nigeria that people like you, because of a few measly millions in government patronage, support and worship falsehood and in the process you bequeath a dystopic society on your children and future generations. |

Gandollar:I'm very sorry for your loss. The reason i am specific in mentioning the bandits is because it's a different theatre of conflict entirely. Boko haram is a religious and socio-political entity that obviously will have sympathizers within the security forces. But banditry is an economic thing and it's much less likely that there will be sympathizers within the army. In a wider context, i have no doubt that many of those who qualify as bandits may very possibly operate as boko haram and so called fulani herdsmen on another day. |

GidiWoodsMan:Did you read the post at all. Miyetti Allah did not claim to have sponsored the reprisal attacks. Instead, they believe that those who carried out the attacks must have been on a revenge mission. You can't hold that against the group. |

Jiang:You know quite well how book haram has been decimating your folks. You can attest to the carnage from Riyom, Barking ladi, Jos north etc to Benue state. Stop deceiving yourself. Northern officers are loyal to the religion of pieces than the Nation. One thing I know is that your evil is catching up with you. Banditry, terrorism, fulanisn, desertification are the rewards of your past injustice to others. Go on and drink more blood. |
