He always spoke in proverbs, it was until recently i grabbed that " when you wan chop cake you go know say oven dey".

Many years after he died his lyrics still have deep meaning, and I wasn't even Yoruba to flow with him.

Today rap is just sex, drugs

Every track of his has a message, I love is lyrics just the way I loved tupac's lyrics. Rest in Peace. I am one people who care less about rhythm but focus on lyrics. Guess that is why I am now loosing interest in music both foreign and local. Kudos to all the old musicians.

I still remember that night vividly. I was reading and practicing with dumps for my oracle SQL exams when the news came over the radio. I froze and tears actually dropped from my eyes. I am igbo but u made me fall in love with Yoruba rap despite the fact I wasn't understanding anything u said. I don't think we have been able to have another rapper that delivers his lines and rhymes the way u do.

Da G.R.I.N
Da Greatest Rapper In Nigeria
Very unfortunate exit. legendary lyricist don't own any of his songs but still adore him
His loss was cushioned by the emergence of Badoo till today nobody is best suited in dagrins lane than olamide it's alright to say at this point 9 years down the line olamide is dagrin
Very well said. Much respect to the late erikino but it's funny when people say olamide doesn't measure up.
