The nation stopped this afternoon to reflect and remember the victims of the Christchurch terror attack that claimed 50 lives a week ago.

At 1.30pm, among flowers of remembrance, the Muslim Call to Prayer went out, followed by two minutes of silence as thousands gathered at Hagley Park opposite the Al Noor Mosque in Deans Avenue in Christchurch.

The Prime Minister began the service and Al Noor Mosque Imam Gamal Fouda then delivered a powerful speech of thanks to New Zealand and message of peace.

It was a very touching service.

Isn't the programming hilarious, no be xtain terrorism attack, it's just 1 crazed man! 1 Muslim man becomes Islam. It's a low blow but the Jews are known for those tactics, and the xtains are just learning

Absolutely. People on both sides are exploiting the suffering of their co-religionists for selfish interest; to draw sympathy or downplay their own excesses or . I saw Muslims do this after the ChristChurch massacre and now it is the turn of Christians.

With a handful of comments of yours I have come upon on here in the past, I have always deemed you to be just about the only genuine Nairaland's atheist
