IKEJA, NIGERIA – President Muhammadu Buhari was clearly unhappy with what he termed “an unnecessary trip down to Lagos to unveil the same projects all over again”, as he made his way out of the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos at 10.32 a.m. on Wednesday amid tight security.

The visibly irritated President was said to have become incensed when he was told that some of the projects which he had made the trip down to Lagos to commission, were the Same projects he had commissioned the last time he had been to Lagos. He was also upset a majority of the projects were barely 60% complete. At some point he was seen talking sternly to a shaken Governor Ambode, repeatedly asking him “Ambode, why exactly am I here?”

Speaking to our correspondent shortly after the unveiling of Oshodi Transport interchange, a presidential aide informed us that the president was “so pissed, at a point, while Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi was trying to explain why the projects had to be commissioned at this time, President Buhari told him to shut up and get lost”.
