Is it preaching to fellow christians who are committing sin or to convert non christians(example: a muslim)into christianity?

Christians don't win souls..
What they do is steal each others members..

Winning of soul as a christian, is preaching to those in the world, those who are still in sin, eg adultery, armrobbers, etc to repent and come to Christ as a new creature.
It takes a true born again Christian to do that,

unfortunately, many of the Churches today don't care if you are into sin or not because all they are after is the size of the Church, before now there was discipline for those that sin, but now sin is like normal thing.

Winning of soul means accepting Christ as your Lord and Saviour, it mean living a Christlike life, Christ have his commandments which you must obey and follow.
The question now is those professing to be Christians are they really Christlike in the deed?
Christ means peace, love......etc and if we keep to his commandments we will have peace here on earth.

But today's most Churches hardly preach repentance, they have change this same soul winning to members winning which is not helping the society

It's all about righteousness, of course you know what repentance is, giving your life to Christ as in winning of souls is living and behaving like Christ like I said before.
There are different believe or region that have their own practice as yours too but it all geared towards righteous living, and above all despite our different religion or believe, there is one God.

Romans 10.9-10 says it all;
Steps to be saved....

1. If thou shalt confess Jesus as LORD
2. Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead

The only qualifications that makes one saved are: one’s confession that Jesus Christ is Lord and God; and one’s unflinching belief in His resurrection. Any other gospel apart from these is of Satan.

These qualifications can only be achieved through preaching from one who is already saved. But the power to convert anyone is solely the duty of the Spirit of Christ. To hoodwink one to believe that preaching is a criterion for salvation is false; however, anyone who is saved carries the burden of the Savior in his heart - salvation of sinners. Hence, Preaching becomes an evidence of one’s purchase in Christ.

But I have noticed that many preachers make sincere errors: I mean they don’t have good mastery of the English language and the scriptures, hence, they convey their messages erroneously. I would guess that he meant: if you don’t preach or win souls, it shows you aren’t saved. So this is where his error should be corrected: a Christian must preach (not the soulish, spiritless methods used in mass evangelism that characterizes our day); and the Holy Spirit wins (some) souls through our preaching.

Yet, I have noticed in my own life that for preaching to he effective, your life must be pleasing to the sinners around you. Their love for the manner of your daily lifestyle and interaction with them makes your conversation (Preaching) concerning Jesus Christ more acceptable especially when you attribute the nature of your character to Christ’s transforming influence.

Please give the preacher the benefit of a doubt; yet, if his fruits, his church members, are the sour kind (not representing Christ), it is a sign that Christ is not in that church.
