gender inequality is a global phenomenon, so stop making it look as if Nigeria is worse off.

How many females has held prominent elective positions in the so called standard of the world--- America?

The Nigerian political terrain is made up of hawkish men who makes people believes women are good for two things only.

Whereas majority of them are less intelligent when making political decisions without the input of their wives. Those who neglects their wives wise counselling only come back home with Ghana must go and while away their time in office with sleep.
The victim mentality again. MEN MAKE PEOPLE...MEN ARE RESPONSIBLE... Your gender will never take responsibility for its own issues. That's why you remain second rate.
You are in your house, typing right now. What stops you from going out to join rallies, or pol meetings, or even registering as a member of a political party?. All the grasroot political groups recognise women, go and join one and start climbing your way up the ladder. Ezekwesili pulled out of presidential race all by herself. Sowore didn't. Until women begin to take responsibility for their own misgivings, they'll always be substitutes on the greater sectors. No offence.

We need to unite, rise up and contest.

These feminist bastards only eye the positions held by the top 20% men, while ignoring the ones held by 80% men who die daily on their jobs.

None of ya'll bastards clamor for equal representation in jobs like sewage treatment, plumbing, electrician, carpentry, trash collection, fire fighting, Nigerian army infantry, and other dangerous low-paying jobs that men are involved in.

I am sick of stupid people wailing over nothing. You will never see them wail over that. Equality is when it comes to enjoyment and not the other way round. How many female sodiers have lost their live compare to male?

I am not in anyway against women taking up position of power but there is no where in the world where power is given on a platter of gold.

So what these fools are saying is that people should be given power because they are women. What law in Nigeria stops women from contesting for any position. Obi or whatever her name is contested and quit.

If we are truly pushing for equality of outcome

stop giving these women advice and a push, that is what they are indirectly seeking, they use these kinds of comments to make men give up their secrets and motivate them to power, these women are very manipulative snakes, already men are fast loosing their power and hold on society in nigeria and women are gradually gaining power albeit not in politics yet,but its only a matter of time before weak men give in and totally loose power to women.Women has been using these kinds of manipulation to guilt trip men to give up their secret to power, read the story of samson wether u a christian or not,it contains ancient wisdom about female wiles

Is there any law saying women should not contest? You don't get power by being offered it on a platter of your own femininity, or by quitting (madam Oby).

women do form huge part of the voters but they do not form aligment with themselves in order be part of governance ,they only did good by just voting, but it goes beyond that , and the relligious education is another major factor especially in the arewa states

I am yet to see the gender equality proponents fight for the rights of the female gender to shed their blood for their precious "one nigeria"!!!

If more women decide to take participate in the military, would u now start supporting gender equality in politics?

When everyone in the society is given an equal chance of participating in nation-building, everyone profits.
That there isn't talk of more women joining the military shouldn't be a reason for people not to voice their concerns about women's participation in politics.

Gender ca not be equal anywhere. Even in marriage, the woman is still a parasite.

SCORPION = SODIUM(11) + LITHIUM(3) VENUS
SODIUM DONATES 1 ELECTRON VIA ELECTROVALENT BOND TO LITHIUM TO MAKE IT BERYLLIUM OR MARS WHILE SODIUM BECOMES NEON OR PLUTO, BEFORE THEY UNDERGO A COVALENT BOND/MARRIAGE/COVENANT TO FORM A SCORPION OR STEPHEN OR SILICON. THIS WHY THEY ARE BOTH SHARING 6 ELECTRON BELONGING TO NEON ALSO. 6 = CARBON/JUPITER/WISDOM.

THE FORMATION LOOKS LIKE A HEART/BAT/BUTTERFLY OR TWO EDGED AXE. BERYLLIUM-CARBON-BERYLIUM OR BBC/BBQ

CALL ME HITLER/SICKLE/SHITLER I DON'T CARE

there you go again as you people are wont to jump the gun and conflate unrelated issues.

whoever said anything about not giving females support in politics. you just pulled that out of nowhere!

at the bolded portion of your comment, we, the great easterners, have no record of keeping women away from participating in politics!!! Aba women's riots come especially to mind. I cannot say for other peoples in the zoo how they treat their females.

now what are the females waiting for, per my struck through portion of your post, before they meet up with the menfolk in their level of enlistment into the zoogerian military to help the zoo fight its many enemies foreign and domestic?! why should there be "talk" before females begin to walk the talk and prove to everyone that they believe in the lugardian contraption called zoogeria and are more than ready to shed their blood for it?! let more females do this and, I guarantee you, their appreciation and respect would concomitantly increase in the political arena in leaps and bounds!!!

enough of the mouth action females, WALK IT LIKE YOU TALK IT!!! after all joining the military is still a huge part of nation building!!!

Some stupid men really think because men are in the military or because they do hard labour that makes them more suited for leadership positions. Very typical of how short sighted and selfish male reasoning is.

Men Should be the ones fighting in the military because they are the ones that cause wars in the first place with their careless egotistical and self centered decisions that almost always wreck the economy and the lives of citizens.

If your stupid arses are superior because you fight wars or because you do hard labour that must mean men are equally useless because majority of the world's problems are caused by men. Is it armed robbery? That men carry out far more than women?
Or mass murders, or rapes, or kidnapping, or ritual killing, serial killing, yahoo scamming, pant thieves and pedophiles?

Superior indeed.

Good topic but I still give 95% blame to women for this abysmal performance in politics. There's no where in the world
where first lady of state is an aspiration or where women's wing of political parties exist. It's clear that women in politics have been tactically sidelined by their male counterparts yet they're not smart enough to notice. Ask Theresa May how she did it
