Before oil went up to $100, we were still making progress and paying salaries with $68 to $70 per bbl. Why are the Buharists still focusing on that brief period oil prices went out of control to $100 instead of planning on how to build the economy with $50 (by cutting costs) while the rest becomes excess crude ? |

RealityShot:We can't be prosperous with oil at $50 Our breakeven, according to Fitch is $140...which is the price we need oil to be to run a budget without borrow borrow....(Google Nigeria's fiscal breakeven price See why some of us are screaming at APC to walk the talk on diversificaiton. Russia needs oil at $99, Saudi at $77. Kuwait needs it at $45 ...because their population is low. Forget Northern politicans....how about the leeches in the South? Why are SS states broke despite having high oil revenues due to derivation ?? compared to some Northern states? Isn't looting prevalent in the South as well as the North? Modified Despite the rebound, oil prices remain lower than they were back in 2014, before the price crashed from about $114 per barrel down to $38. |

Apocalypse12:Yes out of a recession. The country is presently going through what is termed a "weak recovery". Growth has returned but nothing to scream about |

tactius:and that is what a group of white people think! What know is that, Nigeria can be prosperous with oil at even $0/bbl. All that lands that we used to make Britain love this land, are still here, are they not? That break even is complete and utter RUBBISH! If the govt chooses to remove all the crap that is padded onto the real budget and for a few years, Cancel all expensive capital projects and focus on maintenance only. We can come out of that budget deficit. Abi no be wetin you write for list to take cook soup you go buy for market? As for Northern stealing, tell me why NNPC Revenue has never been published? Because na North they run am. Tell me why only one person from the north owns, over 150000 bbl/d, is the oil in their land?? How did he get that?? Southern oil producing states only spend their federal budget allocation along with the derivation. Northern states (19 of them) spend more than the federal budget allocation through their positions at NNPC, CUSTOMS, NAPIMS, NUPENG, PPMC, DPR, SENATE, HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, ARMY, IMMIGRATION, POLICE, MDGS... Chai.. Everywhere in fact! And all the other privately owned oil mining leases that they were given to operate free!! Make I no next o... This matter is too obvious for you to be arguing about. (except you are one of them) P. S: which SS state is broke? |
