The score line at Stanford bridge said 1:1. UEFA recorded that as a draw, not a win. An away goal gives advantage but it doesn't inflate the scores like many like to believe.

The Formal positions in football are defenders, midfielders and forwards. You must belong to one group. A winger is just a general term for anyone who plays at the flanks. It can left/right midfielder in a 4 or 5 man midfielder, or as a Left/attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 or as a left wing forward in a 4-3-3 formation. NONSENSE! You seem to not know the difference between Position and roles. See your mouth like striker, winger, elganche. Words used by people who lack knowledge and understanding of simple positions and roles.
Barcelona over the years have used 4-3-3 4-4-2 and 3-4-3 and this systems there is no position for an attacking midfielder. You end up as a wide midfielder like Hazard and Iniesta were in thier early career or you play as a supporting striker in a 2 man attack.
Saying Barca doesn't play ss is like saying barca doesn't use 4-4-2 at all.

Liverpool really tried. The only difference between the teams was Leo and clinical finishing. Klopp got his tactics spot on but I salute this Barcelona coach for his pragmatism - bringing on Semedo for Coutinho helped to blunt Liverpool a little as most of their attacks were coming through the left side and S. Roberto couldn't deal with Mane and Robertson alone.

I've watched lots of Barcelona games under Valverde and it is not uncommon for them to be outplayed - even at home - by teams but winning in the end due to a combination of fantastic performances from Ter Stegen, the defence and Leo Messi.

This may not be true ultimately, but I feel if Man city were the team that had Barcelona on the ropes for the 25 minutes straight after halftime they would have scored.
