I will suggest that a WhatsApp group should be created for we that are UI aspirants for 2019. Where useful and vital information about UI post utme, admission updates, issues relating to UI will be addressed and discussed. I will need the seniors to create a WhatsApp group for the 2019 UI Aspirants, as you know that information is something that is very important in seeking admission. Though you are already UI Students, please help we the aspirants. Don't leave us with it alone and guide us through and I pray that as you are providing help to aspirants of UI every year, God will interfere in your matters, academically, socially, financially, morally.

My phone was stolen at Sultan Bello reading room.

Bello is cool.

Bello is my hall of residence. It a bit quite, sometimes you can hear a pin drop, lolz.

There is a constant water supply unlike zik and independence hall.

We have the best electricity supply of all Hall of residence on campus.

And lastly, a good structured Bello dome, for church and parties grin

I think there is a NL thread for 2019 aspirants, and perhaps a group is existing already.

i logged in my portal, i saw my email, hall of residence, and every other thing except for my matric number, hence i cant access my accommodation payment portal. is anybody experiencing or has experienced the same issue, if yes, how did u go about it.

by the way i applied for statistics.
looking forward to meeting my course mates on this platform.

I think They removed the matric number so most of you wing rush payment.

Zik hall is one residential hall in UI that fits perfectly to every type of lifestyle you hope to pursue while in school.

Academically, Zik hall has different machineries in place to help students. Prior to exams/tests, there is always a general mock exam to prepare people ahead. I think they even reward the first 5 students with the highest scores. Even with the whole Zik hall 'aroism', Zikites have special respect for the reading room, noise isn't tolerated, ventilation is guaranteed too.

Socially, Zik hall has too much of ideas and programs regarding that. Barely 4 weeks after you must have resumed, you will be compulsorily baptised. It is always fun. Also, there is another one called common pot : students donate money and food items, they cook beans, yam and rice. You will do about 10 of this in a session. I should not even type anything about "aroism" and "gyration". You will get to learn those ones yourself.

Finally, you are the one here to study. Your hall of residence is only there to provide accommodation, you shouldn't compulsorily join the bandwagon of "I must be noticed" (unless you wish to go into school politics). Keep your head low and stay out of trouble.

PS : Block C is the best block to stay as a freshman in Zik hall (though this is debatable).

I know that there is a NL thread for 2019 aspirants but it is not every time I have the opportunity to come to Nairaland and besides, I think WhatsApp is a better way of disseminating information.

I don't think a WhatsApp group for UI 2019 Aspirants exist.

My thoughts was that WhatsApp group will be created for 2019 UI aspirants, hence no need of joining the the previous year own.

a friend of mine wants to change his hall

a guy was given Indy hall but the guy said he's gonna stay off campus
so my friend want to pay for the hall

FOR THOSE THAT HAVE NOT SEEN HOSTEL GIVEN TO THEM ON THE PORTAL.

There is nothing much but you don't need to relax and sleep. I've seen many that have not been given any Hostel but after many inquiries, I got to know that Hostel was only given to those that have been cleared.
You might have done you clearance and you might not been cleared. Once of the signs to know you have been cleared or not is this hostel issue. Someone took a step to UI to ask the reason why she had not seen her name on the portal and she was told to bring her scratch Card uploaded by her or She had not paid acceptance fees. After leaving the school, she got to know that the Paid acceptance fees doesn't reflect on her portal which she has to go with the receipt of the payment tomorrow due to public holiday declared today.
At the second issue, Someone also took a step to the school to confirm why her portal has not been open. After many checking by the admission officer, she was told that one of the O Level scratch cards provided by her has been used five times therefore, she can not seen any change on her portal until she uploads another one. She did so and she was asked to keep checking her portal.
I will urge those that have not seen any changes on their school portal which is on portal.UI.edu.ng to move down to the admission office to make a complain so it can be rectified on time.
