Freedom From The Fear Of Death - Joseph Prince by jiggaz(m): 8:55am On May 01, 2019
THIS SERMON WAS PREACHED IN JANUARY 2017

Jesus said that Israel would be under the foot of the Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles was fulfilled.

God meant to rule the earth through Israel, but they sinned against God, especially in the sin of idolatry.
Although Israel sinned, the sacrifices offered at the temple covered their sins year by year.

1917 was a year of Jubilee - General Allenby marched into Jerusalem and the Turks surrendered and not a bullet was fired.
The call was made for all the Jews to return to Israel in 1917. The call was not heeded well.

We are the '11th hour generation'. This generation is the most blessed of all generations.

1967 was also a year of Jubilee - After the Six Day War, Israel got back more land, including Jerusalem. This is fulfilling Bible prophecy after 2000 years.

2017 - The latest year of Jubilee. It's going to be a great year!

Leviticus 25:9-10 - Exactly at 3pm, the trumpet at the Temple was sounded when Jesus died on the cross.
Pastor Prince's prophetic words: 2017 may begin with troubles, but you should expect the free favors of God to abound this year.

“Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.” ‭‭(Leviticus‬ ‭25:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

As we look forward to the Lord Jesus coming back for us, the Rapture will come very soon.
We are the generation that has seen Israel come back as a nation.
However we do not know the day or the hour where Jesus is coming back, but we can know the times and seasons.
The Greek word for the Rapture is "harpazo" which means "a snatching away".
In Israel, they practice "snatching the bride". The bride doesn't know the day or hour that the groom will come to get her.
The groom in the meantime will be preparing a home for them.
But she knows the season, and when to start dressing up.
The Rapture is nothing more than believers receiving the final possession that Jesus died to give us - a new spiritual body.

We will not be like Casper the Ghost floating around, but we will be forever young, forever healthy, and never tired.
We will be able to travel at the speed of light - how fast will you go when you know you cannot die?

Hebrews 2:14-16 - The fear of death is the mother of all fears. A lot of fears can be traced back to the fear of death.
For example: Someone afraid of flying is actually afraid that the plane would crash and that they would die.
Someone afraid of operations is afraid that the operation would fail and that they would die.
The very first area that God wants to declare Jubilee in our lives is freedom from the fear of death.
Who is the "seed of Abraham" - Those who believe in Jesus and in God.

People instinctively know that there is life after death, but not everyone knows that the sin debt issue has been settled by Jesus' death on the cross.
When believers hearts are not established on the word of God, they can be subject to the fear of death throughout their lives.
Believers don't die, they fall asleep. When they step out of their body, they feel even more alive than before.

The Son of God became the Son of Man Who has a body so that He could die for us.
Jesus was not born by Mary, He already existed with God since the beginning.
He took off His royal robes and stepped into the virgin's womb.
God stepped into time and became a real Man so that He could die.
The devil is jealous of man because God gives aid to man, but not to the fallen angels.

“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.” ‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭2:14-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Isaiah 14:12-15 - We are caught in the battle of the ages. Long before God created man, He created angels.
Angels have hierarchies. Evil spirits have hierarchies too, from low level evil spirits all the way to the devil himself.
Originally the devil was Lucifer, the highest of all angels.
The highest-ranking angels are called cherubs. They are powerful angels, not cute flying babies in diapers holding harps.
God does not cause death. He considers death as an enemy. Tsunamis, earthquakes and disasters are not caused by God. They are caused by the devil.
"Stars of God" in the verse below refers to the angels. Lucifer wanted to usurp the throne of God.

““How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.” (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:12-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

We are caught in the battle of the ages. Long before God created man, He created angels. Angels have hierarchies. Evil spirits have hierarchies too, from low level evil spirits all the way to the devil himself. Originally the devil was Lucifer, the highest of all angels.

Ezekiel 28:14-15 - Halfway through the chapter, God is speaking to the king of Tyre who is the evil spirit behind the kingdom of Tyre, who is the devil himself.
Prostitution is the work of low-level demons. The work of the devil is in making false preachers behind the pulpit who glorify human morality, human works, and not even once is the name Jesus mentioned.
Lucifer was created with the anointing to protect and enforce God's righteousness.
Lucifer walked back and forth enforcing God's righteousness and pride entered his heart.
In a perverted way, the devil still enforces God's righteousness today - he comes using the Law to accuse you, to tell you where you have fallen short.
The devil is prideful. Jesus is the opposite: He humbled Himself as a Servant. If you humble yourself, God will definitely lift you up.

““You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.” (‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭28:14-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

God does things in threes. God introduced Himself as The God "who was, who is, and who is to come".
The Holy Trinity is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We are created in three parts: the spirit, the soul, and the body.
Angels have a tripartite too: Archangel Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer (in the past, now fallen).
These three archangels were created to be the guardians of God's throne.
Mary saw two angels in Jesus' tomb after He was resurrected - such a glorious occasion, it cannot be just any two angels - it must be the two archangels, Michael and Gabriel.
Angels are real - In Psalm 91, God says that He will send angels to bear you up and to keep you in all your ways.

Lucifer slandered God and convinced one-third of the angels to join his cause to rebel against God.
David's son Absalom was the most beautiful man in Israel, and there was not a flaw from the top of his head to the soles of his feet.
He charmed the populace and caused rebellion against King David. Absalom was energized and powered by the devil himself.
Thank God that two thirds of the angels are with us, on our side.

Job 1:7-8 - Whenever God asks a question, He already knows the answer.
He asks it for the benefit of the one that he is asking.
Satan refuses to admit that he is fallen. He still thinks he's enforcing God's righteousness and that he is still a guardian of God's holiness.
He is still walking back and forth, checking who has been unrighteous to enforce the sentence of death upon them.
Satan still thinks he can take God's throne and be God
.

“And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?””‭‭(Job‬ ‭1:7-8‬ ‭NKJV‬)

There was a flood on the earth before the flood during Noah's time.
The devil operated from this place called earth. Right smack where the devil operates, God made man.
God made man from the dust of the earth, perhaps to keep us humble. God made man a little lower than angels.

Psalm 89:14 - When God created man and planted the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, the devil tempted man to eat from the tree, not so much to attack man, but to attack God.
The devil wanted to make God do something unrighteous in His love for man (perhaps by preventing man from dying or to stop man from eating from the tree), to compromise His justice.
The devil believes that if that happens, the throne would go to him.
The devil believed that he got God caught in a dilemma: God cannot compromise on His righteousness by saving Adam without a righteous basis, and because God couldn't perform His heart's desire, He wasn't like a king.
God loves mercy and truth.

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.” (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭89:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Daniel 6:7-16 - King Darius loved Daniel the most out of all the governors.
When the satrap said "all" the governors, King Darius thought that Daniel was part of the plan as well, and that's why he approved it.
In this story, King Darius represents God, Daniel represents us, and the satraps represent the devil and his cohorts.
Here in this part of the story, the love of the king was powerless against the law.

“All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.” Therefore King Darius signed the written decree. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. And they went before the king, and spoke concerning the king’s decree: “Have you not signed a decree that every man who petitions any god or man within thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?” The king answered and said, “The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.” So they answered and said before the king, “That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you, O king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.” And the king, when he heard these words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him. Then these men approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.” So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.”” ‭‭(Daniel‬ ‭6:7-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Micah 6:8 - God is saying to leadership: always exact justice, but have your heart loving mercy.
Don't love justice and do justice.

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” ‭‭(Micah‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

John 8:3-12 - The Pharisees were not so much interested in upholding God's Law, if not they would have stoned the woman where she was caught. There were many stones in Israel.
Their purpose was to catch Jesus doing something that compromised God's Law.
Similarly, the devil is not so much interested in attacking us as compared to attack God's throne.

The devil's purpose is to put God in a dilemma, to see how He can be righteous and yet be merciful.
Jesus was not pressured by the Pharisees' repeated questioning. The devil likes to drive and push people. The Holy Spirit leads us.

Don't make decisions based on time. Don't be hasty in making decisions. If you're being forced to decide now, just say you're not going to make a decision right now.
The devil's name "Satan" means "The Accuser".
In the incident of King Darius and Daniel, we see love powerless against the law.
Here in this incident we see the Law powerless against love.
By calling Himself "the light of the world", Jesus is saying that the light that He brings is not to reveal all your imperfections to condemn you, but it is to show the glorious work of perfecting you in your life.

“Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more. Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”” (‭‭John‬ ‭8:3-12 ‭NKJV‬‬)

Romans 3:24-26 - The cross is the righteous basis for God to pass over the sins of Israel that were covered year after year, for Jesus to pass over the sin of the woman caught in the act of adultery, and for Jesus to open the blind man's eyes, etc -
Jesus was going to pay for all their sins by dying at the cross.

The 'crowning achievement' of the devil's accusations is that they are based on truth and facts -
he accuses you when you sin, saying that the rooster will come back to roost and that your sin will find you out.
However not everyone knows that Jesus has already paid the price for all their sins.

“being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” ‭‭(Romans‬ ‭3:24-26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Hebrew 2:14-16 - Before Jesus died, the devil had the power of death because he had the power of the Law behind him.
The word "destroy" here is "Katargeo" which means to nullify.
We are not afraid of the devil anymore because we have already died, but it is by Someone dying in our place (Jesus).
The power of the Law can only follow one until death, but beyond death it has no power.

Isaiah 54:17 - The most Christ-exalting thing you can say today is "I am the righteousness of God in Christ".
If you say "I'm so sinful and I deserve death" as a believer, you are dishonoring the work of Jesus on the cross. You are saying that Jesus' work is not finished
.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

The devil's mouth is now shut. He never believed that God would love us so much that He would send His Son to die for us.
The devil cannot deny that Jesus' blood was shed on the cross.
