This is one of the reasons i applauded Governor Wike's insistence on taking the chairmanship of the pdp to the South south, he needed someone he can count on anytime. Just imagine waking up one morning to hear that the national chairman of the pdp has dumped the party for apc. That would be the last straw that will destabilize the party and hasten its demise.

How has taking PDP chairmanship to South South helped the Party?

Did they win Presidential? Kano or Lagos Elections?

Not all Yoruba but the Lagos Oyo Osun and Ogun states can't be trusted, They easily somersault.

Obanikoro, Ogunlewe even your darling Atiku are just trying to survive in the 'modern day court'. That isnt betrayal but adaptation.

But to betray isnt just about a tribe and neither is cowardice.

A Yoruba leader will rather stay to fight and die than run away.

Check: Afonja fought till death than bow down to his jihadist attackers. Awolowo fought his fight and got prison term. Akintola confronted the igbo soldiers and was summarily executed when overpowered(the only person that did that). Idiagbon returned from Saudi Arabia to face his detractors. Abiola returned to face imminent dangers when he could had hid abroad. Obasanjo came back home to face a kangaroo trial at the risk of his neck. Gani Adams and Fasheun did not run away but stood to fight and won. Gani Fawehinmi, Beko, Abraham Adesanya stood to fight. Saraki returned home to face his people.

Examples aboveis a pattern of valor, fidelity and steadfastness to a cause when they believed in it.

Betrayal isnt when you no longer believe in a cause and make a change or disagrees with something but it is when, you helped to truncate a free and fair election as Nzeribe amd co from the east did in 1993, like when Zik blocked Awo secession move in 1957, like what Okadigbo did to Zik in the 2nd republic, like when igbos dump Ekuweme in 1999, like Ojukwu wanted to rule a Nigeria he didnt want, like Kanu inconsistencies lately, the list are endless.

Ogunlewe, Obanikoro etc just returned to the fold that made them popular in the first place. Obanikoro was invited home from America by late Prince Adeniji-Adele and the likes of Tinubu to become our mayor. They cant go far from the main ibile group.

Leave our brothers alone. They have only came home to roost

While PDP keeps waking up in other SW states, in Lagos the keep going from weak to virtually unexisting. So bad.

++++++++++------+++ what about the Colonel that led his people to war and abandoned them and flew to Ivory coast? He told them to change their money to Biafra currency as a mark of loyalty but ran away to ivory coast with British pound sterling. He came back and collected gratuity and pension from the Nigerian government he fought with but he did not remember the family of his dead foot soldiers to make a plea for them to be paid. In all these situations, I see a grand betrayal.
