joo2018:
You have no choice but to come out clean this time around.

You can explain just like you did here why you did not put the information on your TRV.

The alternative is to keep looking over your shoulders for the rest of your life as you can be deported even after 80yrs as a PR and citizen (that is assuming they don't catch you during the PR application and slam you with a 5yr ban).

Thanks for your input. I will definitely fill the PR application truthfully. There's no sense in looking over one's shoulder forever.

But the real question is, could they still charge me for misrepresentation from previous TRV, even though I will be filling my PR truthfully and there won't be any misrepresentation in it? Especially in this case that I will be the one mentioning the Denied Entry myself, not like They discover on their own.

I've checked and checked over the Internet but the closest to this situation that I found was from the
CIC Enforcement Manual (ENF Manual 2 s 9.3) gotten from the link below;
http://overseastudent.ca/migratetocanada/IMMGuide/CICManual/enf/enf02-eng.pdf Section 9.7 on Page 33.

"An application for a visa abroad, or for entry into Canada at a port of entry may be denied based on a misrepresentation made in connection with the current application or examination only, unless the person was previously the subject of a refusal for misrepresentation and the resulting two-year inadmissibility period has not elapsed".

The emphasis here is on the "current" application. This document may be outdated though.

I've been advised to consult an experienced immigration lawyer but I'm thinking I can just go ahead and apply on my own. Moreover, immigration lawyers are expensive and POF self never complete.

Seniors, what do you think please?

I'm not entirely sure but I think you'll need to include your Bsc for your ECA since what you have is not an MSC, so you claim points for two or more certificate.
You can start processing your transcripts and start trying get reference letter (s) from your place (s) of work.

Thank you very much.I really appreciate your response.Which one is faster.IQAS or WES? And what is the process?
Brownie1003:
1. Both of you can write the ielts. It helps to boost your crs score esp if you have good band scores in the 4 components. You can use the crs tool to simulate your score. From there, you ll knw if both shud do eca or not.
2. Yes
3. You can do ny 1 first but i ll advise you start with ECA because of the duration it takes to get it done. While doing that, you can be preping for your ielts exam.

You can only claim points for your highest degree only when it is either MSC, MBA or PHD.
WAEC is required if your degree is from a Nigerian school.
How many years of work experience do you have? Try calculating your CRS using your own work experience as the PA.
To boost your husband's CRS, he can consider learning French.

wrong CBT tells you the number of words you have typed for the writing test.

Richness1104:
It depends solely on your skills. CBT requires that you type fast and correctly. Being able to read and understand on a screen is also an essential skill. You can try answering some test through the two means and decide which works well for you. Also note that there is no auto correct tool on these computers and it will also also not tell you the number of words.

Hello All
Thank you for painstakingly explaining the processes involved . Hubby just finally agreed to commence the express entry process yesterday as he was vehemently against it ,However see my profile below
Married ,age -29 hubby-37
Degree - PgCert UK; hubby -MSc Uk
Hubby brother also moving to Canada soon as well as he’s gotten his PR
When I took the CRS -
Me as PA-498; Hubby as PA -450 all of these with the provisos that we get min of 8 in each of the IELTS categories and also with a blood relative with a PR

Now my questions are do I go ahead and submit my degree for ECA without the Nigeria BSC because I didn’t see that category listed in WES website or do I process my Nigeria BSC alongside as well

Also whilst we are expecting some funds by the end of the month, are there other things we should do other than pray and prepare for the IELTS exams
You need to submit with your Nigerian BSc so you'll get two or more certificates. Your hubby can submit only his Masters.

Hello people,

Who can help me with IQAS process flow?
My transcript has been delivered to them by my school since 27th February yet no communication.

What to do?

Secondly,
I'm seriously considering WES.

Will WES accept if I only post a copy of my GCE certificate and a Scratch card to them?
Trying to avoid the WAEC office wahala.

Thanks

You should know that IQAS take their own sweet time. Once you've sent your transcripts, go to sleep for the next four months.
You can follow this thread to get an idea of when they'll get to you.

Oh girl, I don't really know how you arrived at 498 but I believe you made a mistake somewhere. Since you are claiming points for 2 or more certificates, you should evaluate both your bsc and pgd. I think you should recheck your CRS score.

I’d say come clean with the denied entry. Write a detailed LOE for the Ghana, UK and Canadian visa applications. Very detailed and easy to comprehend LOE. You can use bullet points cos if the letter is too long, the officer may not read all and miss out on some important info. All the best.

Lol

@Arosam and newbies, apart from the free info you get from page 1, you also get to learn from other real life scenarios and learn from the peculiarity of each application.
How do I explain this? See ehn, it helps you to know the several available options at each stage and the result from each option. For example, if you check the last 10pages on this thread, you’ll notice the frequent NOC discussions. This is as a result of learning from someone else’s experience.
So you see, we read, learn and share information.
All the best.
