You don't need to show your ignorance every where. I am almost certain you are a non-Muslim currently. The sighting of the moon now is just to know the beginning of the month of Ramadan (since fasting is compulsory throughout the month). Sighting of the moon is actually required to denote the beginning and ending of every month in the Islamic calendar since we use a lunar calendar. Those of you who use a solar calender, do you worship the sun?
