Yes it true that it takes almost 6 months to build a RR

That is because all RR are hand made to perfection i.e. unlike any usually car say a Hyundai Verna which is been built and assembled mostly my automated machines ; RR goes through the same process - only difference - no machines! Everything is done to perfection by the most experienced hands, with machines used only to carry the heavy parts.

Also since all RR are usually custom made according to the order i.e like buying a private jet - they build every thing from scratch and rarely two of the model are same. So no two process of building the automobile is same. Ever order requires a different set of approach although they are very less differences.

So conclusion - it's mostly because of the non usage of automated that makes the process longer.

The reason why they avoid using automated machines is because we all know experienced hands do magic. Also the reason why every RR is so expensive but special!

It takes Toyota around 17 to 18 hours to produce one vehicle. This includes stamping and welding the metal, painting, assembly of parts and the whole, and inspection. The time can vary according to the number of models manufactured at a particular factory.

A car from Toyota includes around 30,000 parts per vehicle, each of which must be manufactured. If several model types are produced at one plant, the time to produce a vehicle can vary, as the plant must produce unique parts for each of the models. The planning and design process is not included in the actual manufacturing time and can take many years.
