He was a leader but a lot if Nigerians by upbringing only understand the language of rulers. We are skeptical of leaders and see leadership characteristics as weakness. In most African home, the system of relationship between parents and children is that of masters and servant. Put a child accustomed to the mat on the bed, it won't take too long to roll by to his mat.

PMB should imitate him(GEJ) and abdicate his position..
