Hi, kindly clarify something to me please. I do have change of name affidavit and newspaper publication, however in PR Application (i’m not the PA, my husband is) we chose to use my maiden name. This is because, we were considering the fact that my International Passport and all other documents carry my maiden nameexcept for my Driver’s license. Are we safe? should we be worried? We are post-AOR.
Somaris:
Why do you want to use your WIFE's maiden name biko grin grin
Once she has done official change of name, use her marital name. There is a requirement for one to upload proof of change of name on IQAS application and you will also send it to them as part of the documents required. It's expected that the name on her certificate before she got married be that of her parents. A change is expected, so show proof of said change.
IQAS certificate will reflect changed name.

I stand to be modified though.

Good day everyone. Please I've got a question about an accompanying spouse's NOC. He worked in an organisation as an assistant accountant before moving on to do his own thing. So I chose NOC 1111 for him. However, he doesn't have the relevant accounting qualification. Do I just completely delete the work history & leave it blank? I don't want trouble o! Lol

Cc @ifeoma77 @joo2018 @topsmamen et al

Delete it. You will be required to provide a reference letter if you state his employment in the work history section. You should state it in your personal history instead.

See this.

Hey. I really don't know much Post-ITA, but did you guys submit your marriage certificate showing you're both married?
Does that also mean you didn't do ECA OR write IELTS?
I think you still need to show proof of being married to your husband. The fact that he is the PA doesn't estop him from showing that the person that is accompanying him is married to him. There needs to be a uniformity of some sort.

Please, in-house gurus, help.

Please house i need a critical advise on these questions for SINP

1) I studied psychology, but I didnt really practice full time. Can I apply for SINP as a Part time worker or Volunteer worker? Though I have full time job thats not related to Psychology.

2) My wife found out that her mum's sister lives in Saskatchewan, prior to that she applied for study permit in March,2019 which she claimed no relative in Canada.

3) Claiming relevant work experience do you need to provide salary account or can you claim you are being paid by cash?

Beautiful job bro...wehdone sir.

God bless you.

raphrulz:
Hey guys...

Good news..

As the PPR hall of fame champion raises shoulder pad... i want to officially draw your attention to this...

In case no one has noticed, Part 7 has recorded the highest PPR scripts so far and still counting...

See the trend below:

pt 1 - 38
pt 2 - 74
pt3 - 77
pt 4 - 79
pt 5 - 73
pt 6 - 85
pt 7 - 98

What could be the reasons??

1. Increased learning curve... people are getting more knowledgeable on the EE process subject matter

2. Increased guidance from experienced hands to newbies

3. Well detailed page 1 that has reduced the number of questions asked, thus slowing down the speed of the part (giving opportunities to more PPR script announcement)

4. People have embraced the need to share their scripts (in a more detailed way), even as silent followers... thanks to increased awareness

5. People have desired to be scored and rated highly (increased competitiveness

6. add yours here......

I am waiting for the 100th PPR script... so we can celebrate you in a grand style and put the accolade right by the side of your name on the hall of fame list.

Thank you guys for all you have done in this thread.

We hope that subsequent threads would be much better.

Above all, thank God for helping Nigerian applications.

Please, do not hesitate to tell your relatives, friends and family about this thread... Let them have an experience of it..... and reduce the scam rate out there.

Thank you. But, my eligibility status has been on MET since December. Does it matter?

You need to order GCMS notes ASAP. Your application probably has a review required for eligibility. [/quote]

it now takes longer (about 10 weeks) due to volume, although during quarter 4 last year Canada Post was on (rotational) strike which added to the delay

Brokenvessels:
Just started PEBC Evaluation, did not know it takes so long, while on their website I read it takes 8 weeks from when they receive your application.

Hi.
I do not think you have anything to worry about. A change of name affidavit is just to show that documents bearing different names are for the same person. Since all documents you are required to submit for this process bear your maiden name (even the passport), I think you are good.
Marriage doesn't automatically mean you have to change names. Your marriage certificate just says that you (with your maiden name) are married to your husband, Mr Ciroma Alabi-Chukwuma. Doesn't indicate you have taken up any of his names.

Note, however, that your PR card will bear the name on your passport. You could stick with this, and then do a change of name on getting to Canada, so your PR renewal (in 5yrs) or citizenship (when due) will carry your new name if you so wish.
Or you apply for a new passport with your new name and then submit that along with the change of name affidavit and marriage certificate in a CSE before PR is issued.

I stand to be corrected on the above stated opinion.

How did you find out your eligibility was met?

Do you have a military background? Did they call your employer for verification? Additional verification sometimes has to do with one of these. If they are refusing to release your gcms notes and the 30 day statutory response period has elapsed, it means there is something in your gcms notes that they feel if disclosed will jeopardize their investigation.

If you are satisfied with the veracity of the claims in your application including the statutory questions you answered, then you can relax. You can also try emailing Ralph.

You can also try emailing the ATIP department by replying to the confirmation email you received when you ordered the notes.

Remain calm. It is just a generic response to a CSE raised since you are past the 6 months mark. They give that response to everyone past the mark.
As it says, your file is on queue to be attended to by a visa officer.
Since you have ordered notes, wait for them to see if there is anything special holding your file up, and then address if any.
Meanwhile, pray that the visa officer wakes up.

Ottawa I presume?? Na sleepers dey Ottawa now.

Thank you for giving me your time. I do not have a military background but hubby who is a non-accompanying spouse is a politician currently a member of a state house of Assembly, can this be a problem?

I got to know about Eligibility MET via phone call January this year, since then I've been in IP1 no progress.

I ordered notes through GCMS buddy on March 7th, ordered a new one through a friend who has PR and live in Canada last week. Both of them no show.

Pardon me please, if I am to contact Ralph how do I go about it? What do I ask him since he is not a staff of IRCC. Chai! Why my things dey be like this na.

Seniors and experienced ones, please don't just be looking at my stupid questions bellow and pass it by. Thought other similar questions has bee raised but the difference in this case is that all the names are same in length and spelling. The only difference is swapping the first and middle name on different documents as explained below.

Does this still require one and same person sworn afidafit

gabside:
Hello Good People, Help on 2 issues Please!!!

1. If there is a variance in the way an applicant's MIDDLE AND LAST Name was arranged on the international passport from the way it appears on other documents (e.g. Education certificates, Bank statement and all), what will be the best thing to do This is what I mean:

On International Passport name written as: Matthew, John Luke
On Other certificates and documents, name written as: Matthew, Luke John

The first and middle names are not consistent on the documents. Should this be a problem And if it is a problem how could this be handled?

2. Out of birth certificate issued at birth by the local government several years back and a recent attestation issued by National population Commission, which one is acceptable. I heard only the federal issued birth document will be recognized.

Thank you all in advance for your helpful suggestions.
