Inspiring story, and I pray the good Lord makes a way for you irrespective. Going forward however, we must arm our Children with skills that they can fall back on when the white collar jobs are not forthcoming. |

grandstar: You have a good point. But this idea of it "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" is detriment to progress. And we love using it a lot. WhatsApp and others maintain the same template but are always introducing new updates & new function one at a time. It did not have call, video call, daily status and so on when it started. For example, Click on a NL ad and it will take you away from NL. Those little details count. 2 Likes |

PrinceGeorge1: Keep being disgusted. That's how Chivita killed Five Alive. Thats how Limca killed Fanta Lemon. They would only deny and turn around to acuuire but BIGI is taking a heavy chunk off Nigeria Bottling Company's market prospects. 8 Likes 1 Share |

According to the video, the woman just went on a year course in catering and hotel management in the UK in the 70s. It's not as if she was living there for a long time. And why she ventured into carrying tomatoes in mile 12 market is simply because she was owing debt of 500k which she used in training her last born through uni and sorting personal stuffs. she needed to pay back the loan cus she's tired of failed promise from friends and family members. that's why she's doing what she's doing 4 Likes |

grandstar:if ain’t broken bla bla kills innovation. Ford said if he had asked his customers what they wanted , they would have said a faster horse meaning healthier horse and not a car. Foresight is important. What’s app has changed, Craigslist has changed. Please they have. For instance, Nairaland can be an OAUTH provider for Nigeria applications just like google, Facebook and LinkedIn are for many applications. So when I want to sign up for an application for instance, I just log in through Nairaland. It’s all a way of making money, growth, innovation, more money. The if it’s not. Token is peculiar to manufacturing and this is changing. The world is changing fast. 4 Likes |

With the traffic and activities going on here, corporate bodies should be queueing up here and not Linda ikeji & co. The potential is enormous. But no marketing & packaging, companies will be wary of putting huge marketing money on a site that looks so archaic. This is best derailed thread I have seen in a while here (no better emoji ) 5 Likes |

VillagePipu: Haba....I am for progress, but a lot has changed on Nairaland in a decade. 1. When I joined Nairaland a decade ago, there was no Like/Share button 2. There were no Mentions. If someone quotes you, you will never know, unless you return to the topic. The idea of supermods also happened in the last decade, although it may not be a positive upgrade. While I agree that Nairaland has declined, it has more to do with content than the site its self. And the content is dictated by those who post and comment here. 8 Likes |

sowilli: Thanks for this. Then why don't you contact Seun and inform him about this? There's no point placing a billboard in a place where there's zero traffic. Knowing what changes can be made and keeping quiet will lead Nairaland nowhere. It's time thread was created for that purpose |

VillagePipu:I can't even remember the last time I saw Bigi in my area. Bigi is not Cocacola, just like Minmmie Noodles can never be indomie, and Bournvita cannot be Milo, nor Three Crowns, Peak. Maybe you can compare Bigi and Gala instead. 3 Likes |

Adewunmibaba: Let me tell you how these things work. GOD rarely helps people who wait for jobs or opportunities but if you are diligently doing something no matter how little or if you have an idea you are already working on to bring to fruition then you can bet that someone from somewhere might just assist you. Jobs are hard to come by but not impossible to find but the best thing is to search for jobs but dont put your life on hold until you get a job...Just find something doing no matter how small or lowly. 2 Likes |

ChristianNorth: No other moniker. The number of members is up there to see. You're right about numbers. It could be higher. But many who I've introduced to the site ever come back. People have their preferences. Some love Facebook, others Twitter, others Lindaikeji and so one. I love Nairaland, Facebook, and YouTube 1 Like |
