If you like use 7 different languages for your password, they will still hack you if they have your time. And BTW, I'm sure the hacker will be somewhere in Nigeria, he just want to make himself untraceable by claiming to be in Syria.

Funny thing is Bank only insures our accounts with not more than 500k, so in case of a cyber attack, even if you have 100million the insurance only cover 500k, while yankee own is much more... people would just start offing themselves

There are four ways by which you can be hacked.

1. The most common method of all is the bruteforce attack (which guesses your passwords or more specifically, tries it against a very large database of common passwords. This is where a complex password shines, make it harder and/or practically impossible to bruteforce with the exisiting technology now.

2. Via social engineering; where you are convinced to click an email or download/open an "infected" file which gives unrestricted access to your computer system; thereby they can view your keystrokes.

3. Connecting to an insecure or fake hotspot where data packets can be monitored, analyzed and decrypted. Be careful the wifi networks you connect to.

4. A hacker gets access to the database of INstagram ( and thus gets access to everybody on instagram from a - z). But in this case, the passwords are often hashed and salted; not plain text so cannot be decrypted. Though some websites use plain text at some point; even facebook yes.

Then, finally unless you re dumb to just call out your password.

So you see, people don't just get hacked out of the blues. One of those actions listed above must have taken place.

An ignorant of uninformed person can easily fall for any of these any there is nothing anyone can do about number 4.

Eg they know what a VPN does, but don't understand the protocols and back end processes behind a VPN. so when a VPN leaks DNS Yahoo boiz never know, coz they don't understand the backend process..
