The Edo State Government has announced its intention to revert to the old 35 years of service or 60 years age limit retirement tenure. The question on the lips of many affected workers is, "What happens to workers who were included in the new contributory pension scheme ". These sects of workers who were forced to join this scheme had merely contributed their pension dues for two years only!
What would their fate be? Would the government make them revert to the old scheme, which would ofcourse be ethical or make them suffer the contributory pension scheme ordeal?
