It's an inverter with 32 batteries. I guess their 3 phase inverter starts from 15KVA our own is 32KVA.

Ativ:

Is it a UPS or an inverter?

Godliftedme:
House,

Good evening.
I have been thinking over 3-phase solar power system to power a mixed load of 10KW (5.5KW 3phase load and 4.5KW single phase load) between 7:30am - 6:30pm, from my findings most 3-phase setup requires a priming voltage for the unit to work, meaning I need to have another power source to get the 3-phase system working which looks like most 3-phase inverters are designed while considering develop nations with constant power supply.
....
Primo systems are fine but as you mentioned, require primers. A Primo backed by MultiPlus (small ones) shouldn't be too expensive
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bodeface: 12:06pm On May 11, 2019
Primo are good, SMA is a good options, but the challenge is the priming, it is a challenge in developing nations like ours.
Thanks - Saipro, any other ideas from other elders in the house.

Gurus in the house, abeg help

I have an existing inverter system

1 6Kva Prag Inveter
4 units of Prag 12V, 200Ah Tubular Gel Batteries

This powers my lights, tvs and fans for 12-18 hours.

Now i want to add solar panels to the mix and power 1 Hp Inverter AC for 12 hours each day.

I am thinking 12*270Wp Poly Panels
4 LeadAcid 12V 200Ah Batteries
3 40A MPPT CC

is this a suitable setup.
and can i use Lead Batteries in parrallel with the existing Tubular Gel batteries beacuse the batteries are still working very fine?

Thanks.

I assume you installed Victronconnect v.5.2 of 2019-01-10 which support Smart Phoenix Inverter and Bluetooth dongle v.2.15
Do you mean 1. your cc can't wake up (LED light is blinking and not steady) or 2. No led lights are on?
....

I'm now at a point where it comes on but perpetually flashes the two lights on the right alternatingly.

In the Victron app, all fields are blanked out but the device is recognised as the proper MPPT 100/50. I can't upgrade (fails) nor see/access parameters.

Edit: I recounted my steps. I tried all updates but all failed - asides the initial ones. I got stuck on the number 22 update, v1.7 on the site you recommended (v2.0 when I installed it). And guess what? It bears the dreaded 1.19 update. That was the last successful update. Thereafter, the device got stoned. Not the gradual stuff Namzy dreads. Struck with instant death. I think there's something really wrong with that 1.19 update. Perhaps others should try to bypass it.

The Victron devices made it all the way to the file I downloaded yesterday, v5.7

I haven't tried it but I think there's a solution called Fronius Eco or something similar. It's standalone and starts at 25kVA, if I recall right.

While an overkill for your 10kW of loads, it might be up your alley. Otherwise, search amongst Indian inverters. You should strike gold there.

Lights are flickering but that's all. Recognized by the Victron app. Doesn't display parameters on the app nor does it charge batteries. After a few moments on the app, it requests to update, which fails around 12%.
Then we start the cycle again.

Hmm was afraid of full update I just did the update from 1.16 to 1.17 and I'm using victronconnect v1.9 as v2.0 carries the update 1.19. I don't know how runx managed to escape

Please will my 5.5kva solar inverter carry my 1.5Hp air conditioner from 8 pm, to 6am?

Yes, the inverter will carry. The question should be, can my battery sustain such load for that duration?

Honestly, I do not know how I escaped, but I did not use Victronconnect 1.9, only 1.7 then jump to 4.5, everything went smoothly for me and am even on Victronconnect v.5.7 firmware 1.39 for Fangpusun 100/30 and firmware 3.10 for bmv-702.

On your phone open the Victronconnect app without connecting to any device. Click demo mode select 100/50 cc, goto battery and select settings. Write down the all parameters you see and input them on your cc when you connect as I earlier posted. Continue for relay, alarm, display and misc Watch if there are changes to the LED lights flickering.

Tried getting to the settings mode but I can't get in. Stops on the screen right after the device selection. If I choose a higher VictronConnect app, it shortly afterwards tried to update the device but fails.

I think you were merely lucky. v1.19 definitely snowballs the device. Will keep trying my skills. Will see if I can peek into the update file and modify it appropriately such that I can downgrade (tricking it to think it's an upgrade).

I have 8 (300watys) solar panels and 4 ( 200amp) quanta batteries.
How long will a 1.5Hp air conditioner last if my batteries are fully charged?

Goodluck I was even hoping someone would have modified the latest victronconnect apk and remove the update package or Repack it with firmware 1.17 re named but seems the white wants to support their own. I'm rooting for you bro

mixing batteries isnt a good practise,, yours is worse, different batt manufacture and different types, gel & vrla
why not get a single 80amp mppt cc,
running the ac during the day - when there is solar input, you can get by. running it at night is dicey...putting the ac on gen mode will give u a fighting chance, but still not worth it, battery premature death is certain tthis issue/calculation has been thrashed a couple of times here, scroll back upto 5 pages

Only 4! Even people with 8 don't run 1.5hp AC all through the night.

Theoritically, 4hrs, if drain to 0% (the 200AH battery will behave as a 100AH battery at such high current)
Practically, less than that as your inverter would have cutoff before you get to 10% state of charge.

For the 200AH battery,
(100AH * 4 batteries * 12V) / 1200W = 4hrs
A 1.5hp AC is approximately 1200W
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by makavele: 11:22pm On May 11, 2019
^^ And that's just on AC alone oh . . meaning you will be in total darkness ( chilling inside AC)

Well, a 5Watt led bulb is negligible, if you ask me grin grin grin

Me labout 3 years ago. I tried all that trick and still have the 150/45 fangpusun under a able somewhere in retirement. Hoping to one day put it under the axe and use the internals while secretly waiting for the hardware hacker community to take up the challenge.. maybe someday. I hope u succeed way I did not.

We use Fronius Eco (25kw) and Fronius Symo (15kw) in my coys installations. It needs an ac supply to ride on before it works. i dont know if thats what they refer to as priming here

My latest project .

The AC power ( Daikin inverter AC) is controlled by a SONoff TH16 ( flashed with Tasmota firmware)

The TH16 controller is controlled by the APM ( advanced power management) software based on how much load the battery is seeing. Below -10 Amp draw means either NEPA available or solar is sufficient more than - 16 amp ( 48 V battery) means other loads are high enough to switch off AC

Control by other parameters such as battery voltage, SOC, grid power, wattage also possible

THE APM software is made by the same South African guys who make ICC to interface with Aexpert /Voltronix /Ipower and BMV

the Aexpert use can use similar seup to control things like water heater or for that matter any other loads - Maxium four independent units can be controlled

The same can also can be achieved without APM using NODERED but requires deeper JSON/Python understanding

Did you buy the complete APM with the soonoffs or only the Software and did the TH16 was brought from somewhere else and the you did the firmware upgrade yourself?

The Victronconnect app is one the most accurate there is for monitoring solar and battery system. The app check for older firmware before it can you grant access to the app then update as appropriate. Nothing stop you from using your device out of the box.
If you so decide to update later with the latest firmware please do so. The problem appear to be earlier firmware updates which the latest firmware have superceded without issues.

Hello house. I am a complete novice. i was using a 3.5kva inverter before. The four batteries got flat and i am planning to upgrade to solar. The quotation i got is for different solutions.
1 SOLAR LIGHTNING...This is just to power about 33 bulbs
He said he will bring 33 solar bulbs, 6 solar panels, 2 controllers, 2 200ah batteries.
This package cost 500k.
2 SOLAR FAN PACKAGE= he will bring 9 solar fans, 3 batteries 100ah, 3 solar panels, 1 controller. This package cost 480k
3 A package for just two TVS and one computer= 3 solar panels, 1 controller, 2 batteries 150ah, one inverter 1.2kva.
This package cost 300k. total is one million, two hundrend and eighty thousand.
The package appears interesting to me because different solutions are controlling the light, the fans and the TV so all cant go down at once but i dont know wether the package is a good idea . He promised that we can even go off the grid for the fans, light and tv and then use generator when we want or PHCN for freezers etc.

House,
Good evening.
From experience of the seniors in the house.
What model 5KVA, 48V Inverter will you recommend with a good charging current, display unit etc., apart from Magnum, Outback, Schneider, Victron, I mean a good product but not as costly as those mentioned above.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
