You make a very good point but since the divorce is still on going in court,I believe she has every ground to deny any knowledge of what the husband was into and she can also claim emotional trauma or even cut a deal with the court that will benefit her financially. If she has a good attorney, she might have probably workout with a good settlement.

The Chris guy is not even safe anywhere because the cartel boss can’t kill his wife and leave the man that has been banging his wife.. They live by their code, if you price, you must pay, no mercy. Young men should stay away from wife/ex wife, girlfriend/ ex girlfriends, sisters and relations to drug cartel members, it does not always end well.

I only watch these things in movies, I never knew they exist in real life. Why get married to a married wife of a drug lord. It is not enough that you are sleeping with her while she is still married, you went ahead to marry her because her husband is in prison, such guts!!

The lady in question is about 5 years older than him but, yes age is just a number.

She was still married to another very rich man (drug baron), she did not divorce the man but went ahead to marry Chris. Was Chris unaware of her marriage history? Did he confirm her divorce before marriage to her? Did that not bother him knowing that her husband is a drug baron, could be dangerous and still in jail?

Note that the woman waited for her baron husband to file for a divorce before she filed her own divorce papers too despite that she married Chris while still married to him. Only cunning and greedy people will do that.

For me, Chris was desperate for the marriage to her and I can only tie his desperation to greed.
