Whats the mileage on your car? Previous owner probably did not do oil changes often or used low quality oil. If it is really a rod knock you can rebuild the engine or replace with a new one.

In simple terms, the engine is knocked or is about to knock, so replace or rebuild the engine is what they are advising you to do.

Change the engine. Don't rebuild.

That rebuild sounds like big English and interesting, you don't want either.

Just buy a toks used engine and enjoy your moto
