I got an interesting video on YouTube about the top countries with the best ammunition for war. Believe me, I was surprised to see unexpected countries having thousands of unthought-of weapons. I never wanted to share that but this just got me thinking, you need to see this.

Before I show you all that is to see. One thing with tanks is that the number at times don’t measure up the quality.

For example, most of the other country’s tanks are probably old T-54s; meaning, 1 Abrams or Challenger is far better than 3 or 4 1950s tanks, right? Well, I think that is not really true because there is what a quality tank can be and 4 tanks can do.

#10. Greece

As you surprised that unexpectedly countries are pulling weight already? What comes to your mind when you hear Greece? Aristotle, I guess.

The current size of Greece’s army is as follows: standard numbers in peacetime: nominal 90,000 personnel; 72,691 in 2014. In case you need her wartime strength, it stands at 253,500.


Well, in terms of ammunition strength, Greece has a total of 1345 war-tanks. Just look up and you will see that the war tanks of Greece overrides that of Britain and Afghanistan.

Currently, they have an active 310,000 field army. And the war-tanks stands at 4145.



#6. Indian army

India, with their population they deserve a 10,000 war-tanks, right? I was wrong.

Currently, the Indian Army is the land-based branch and the largest component of Indian Armed Forces. The President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Army, and it is commanded by the Chief of Army Staff, who is a four-star general.

The Indian Military size stands at 1,237,117 active personnel; 960,000 reserve personnel. And if you want to add the manned aircraft, it stands at 181.

#5. Syria


The Syrian Arab Armed Forces are the military forces of the Syrian Arab Republic. They do not just consist of the Syrian Arab Army, it includes the Syrian Arab Navy, Syrian Arab Air Force, Syrian Arab Air Defense Force, and several paramilitary forces, such as the National Defence Force.

It can be disheartening but those fit for military service stands at 9,939,661, age 16–60. Let’s hope the war does not decrease this number.

#4. North Korea


Yeah, I know what this army is capable of doing. First of all, the SK army has to get ready in case of an attack, and the world has to be ready in case of an atomic bomb. You won’t be surprised when you realize that they are using an army size of 945,000 to dare anyone.

By the way, from age 15, you are qualified to be in the North Korean army. As of 2018, the size available for military service stood at 12,933,972.

To warp it up, North Korea has 5,500 war-tanks ready.

I am disappointed as I was expecting something more. More on that later.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army is the armed forces of the People’s Republic of China and its founding and ruling political party, the Communist Party of China.

The PLA – Chinese People’s Liberation Army- consists of five professional service branches: the Ground Force, Navy, Air Force, Rocket Force, and the Strategic Support Force.

As of 2018, they boast an active personnel size of 2,035,000. Not just that, the amazing thing about the Chinese army is that you can only join when you are 20+, not even 18. �

Truly, I was expecting a war-tank size of 10,000. Not bad with 6,810 when you consider other ammunition they possess.



#2. United States of America

It is believed that the US has the strongest army in the world, not sure yet.

If you want to go by the books, you will discover that the United States Army is the land warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces. It is one of the seven uniformed services of the United States, and is designated as the Army of the United States in the United States Constitution.

With no certain personnel size, they have a resounding 8,730 War-Tanks in stock.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is the President of Russia. The Russian Armed Forces were formed back in 1992. And of course, without doubts, the Russian Armed Forces is one of the world’s largest military forces, with quality if you ask me.

A lot of people love the Russian Army, and as of December 2018, there was a scary Russian Military advancing Ukraine. See the video.

Amazingly, from age 18, you can join the Russia military force.

The Russian Force Strength

As of 2018, Russia had a reserve base of 2,572,500 personnel, and an active personnel standing at 1,013,628.

In case you want to guess the number of War-tanks possessed by Russia, go ahead because you won’t be far from the answer.
