HYBRID Vs OP

Though hybrid seems to give more yield than open pollinated seed when properly taken care of.
In terms of resistance, the open pollinated is the best.

They have been acclimatised to the system.

They can withstand insect and pest invasion.

They have high diseases resistance than hybrid because of their adaptation.

You are sure they are not GMO.

One of the numerous reasons to plant FS.

Insect Manure At N5,000 Per Ton. Never Use Poultry Litter Or Dung Again

Good day,

We have Black soldier fly (BSF) larvae frass, aka manure, called NatSoil available for sale. It’s an excellent organic fertilizer with chitin that deters pest and thus acts as a natural pesticide. It has no odor and contains all the vital nutrients for plants (see attached analysis for dried variant).

Please contact me on WhatsApp 08176499981 or on sales@magprotein.ng . Our factory is based in Epe.

Price is N5 per kg. Minimum order 2tons. Pick up from Epe.

Description and use.

Our product NatSoil is a 100% organic fertilizer and soil amendment that acts primarily as a rich soil conditioner and pesticide. It is derived locally from the digestate of the black soldier fly larvae. It is rich in essential nutrients such as;
• Nitrogen: 31.5g/Kg
• Phosphorus: 7.9g/Kg
• Potassium: 3.41 g/Kg

Made from insect exoskeletons and excrement, NatSoil is full of beneficial microbial life and chitin – the substance that sets NatSoil apart from other fertilizers. Chitin stimulates the plant's defence response leading to increased resistance to pests and disease, replenished microbe populations and boosted yields at harvest.
NatSoil also has “chitosan”, when applied foliarly, will protect plants from powdery mildew, and botrytis and other fungal disease. In summary, NatSoil is a natural fertilizer and has the following benefits for plants and crops:
o Promotes early plant growth and seed inoculant
o Beneficial microbes for plant growth and production
o Improved growth compared to competing products
o Low C/N ratio that promotes rapid mineralization and faster nutrient release
o 1 to 2% addition rate into soils and potting mixes
o Water soluble and can be used in hydroponics and fertigation
o Contains chitin and chitosan
o No odour
o Not a pesticide or fungicide, will not bring new insects into your garden or farm o Improves soil organic matter, soil condition and crop yields
Utilization
NatSoil can be used in the following applications;
Commercial Use - Farms, Lawns: Broadcast 5 tonnes per hectare. Incorporate into soil if possible.
Greenhouses: Incorporate 7.5 kg per cubic metre (12.5 lbs/cubic yard) of container medium.
Home Use - Urban Gardens, Established Plants, Lawns: Incorporate 2.5 kg per 10 square metres (5 lbs/100 sq ft) into soil prior to planting. Apply 2.5 kg to soil surface after seedlings have emerged.
Containers - Incorporate 15-20 mL per litre (1–11⁄2 tbsp. in 4 cups) of planting mix. Frequency
Applications may be repeated after 8 weeks.
Available in 50kg bags

To achieve the desired & projected output or harvest in maize or corn farming, good plant population is key.

How many stands are u planting per acre?

Watch out for how this can be achieved.....

*Maize Bumper Harvest*

Your maize yield is limited by the number of cobs in your field. If you are planting 20,000 seeds per hectare you get: 22,000 cobs (some double cobbing) 120 grams of dried maize per cob (generous estimate)

22,000 cobs * 120 grams / 1,000 grams/kg / 1,000 kg/ton = a yield of 2.88 MT per Ha.

*PUT MORE SEED IN THE FIELDS.* And by the way, when you do, you need to put more fertilizer/manure on too.

It is NOT HARD to look this stuff up. Plant 50,000 seeds per hectare, or even more.

To get 54,000+ stand /ha, you need a spacing of:

25cm x 75cm dropping 1seed/hole

With a (rolling planter) line spacing of 27cm & row spacing of 50cm i.e

27cm x 50cm,

You can get 74,074 stands/ha or 29,629 stands/acre dropping 1 seed /hole.

With 2 seeds/hole & enough fertilizer/manure, you can get double this plant population.

✔ *Use enough fertilizer /manure*
This can not be over emphasized. Maize needs loads of nitrogen to give bumper harvest & you must be ready to give it at the right time to achieve your goal.

✔ *Weed your field.*
Or use herbicides if you don’t care about the environment.

✔ *Spray your field.* Protect against fall army worm and stalk rust.

They say you have to spend money to make money. Guess what, they’re right.

Budget for effective management per hectare of a modern maize farm between inputs, labor, tractor work, harvesting is 300-500k.

With this budget & above guidelines, the aim should be for 10 tons/Ha.

So, do your research, make your budget, and get going. All the best.

Let's farm together & may God bless our hustles.

So so sorry to hear that. This is the first time we are getting this type of feedback.

Can you please share the agronomy practices you followed in planting the seeds?

Do you know the condition of the soil?

The success of farming or good harvest doesn't depend solely on the seeds alone. But, putting everything in place, a good seed like FS will always give you better result than average seed.

I have not planted corn in my location because rain has not been stable. If, I had gone ahead to plant, most likely I won't get good harvest even if I put everything in place.

Lol
Where sammaz 37 dey, farmers have testimony of more than 7tonnes/ha.

What is the actual yield of your maize farmers have attested to and not the kind of laboratory yield of 10 tonnes

The spacing of 27 * 50 is almost impossible for Nigeria environment. We don't use heavy farm machinery here moreover disease control and fertilizer application will be difficult.

Back to the matter, have you planted the maize what did you get after following the proper agronomy
