Suicide is a totally personal decision.
I see no reason why you should interfere or try to stop someone from doing something he has the right and free will to choose to do!

Don't allow Naija Police to change you into an insensitive and irresponsible person. The natural tendency of a normal person is to respond to save life when there is danger.
Rather let's condemn the Police for trying to make money at all cost from innocent and responsible people.
If you watch the video, no one will tell you that those guys are innocent and good people, except wicked people in uniform who are bent on terrorising innocent people.
If we all become insensitive, then someone might slump on the road and everybody passing will just "mind his business" until he gives up. That person might be you or me.

Veracity of the post is beside the point. We all know that Nigerians are generally callous and mostly immune to the suffering of others hence the perpetual corruption and insecurity in the country and the police are not helping by extorting money from those kind enough to help people in distress. I was in the UK for twenty five years and my higher education was done in Britain so I know that humans are not supposed to live like greedy selfish animals as happens with many Nigerians nor are you supposed to live a life devoid of introspection.It is possible to live moderately well in Nigeria if you have the financial muscle.

In normal climes, Police will take their statement and release them. If during the course of their investigation there is further need for any clarification, the police will invite them again.

Even murder suspect6 are allow to go home if there is no clear evidence against them.

My brother, a medical doctor, along with two onlookers were detained for trying to help resuscitate a young man whp committed sucide yesterday.

The police have him held for no reason; they named them suspects, and asked them to write statements without a reason for their detainment.

What sort of country are we living in abeg? The message the police is sending is that when you see a dying person you best let him be, or else, you help at your peril.The Nigeria Police Force is a problem that needs serious solutions.
