Hey good pple , planning to apply for a Canadian tourist visa , I live in Ukriane but my mum who is my sponsor stays in Nigeria. Now the question is can I use her bank statement from Nigeria to apply here in Ukriane cos I wrote in my letter I would be traveling to visit her there cos she has a Canadian visa already ..?? |

skdfu747:Thank You for this, I am starting to believe that these embassies do not thoroughly go through visa application from Nigerians, They already have a built up negative mindset just looking to pick up holes in an application and hold on to that as reason for denials. I have once submitted a dollar account and the visa officer turned down the application on basis of insufficient fund, Quoting the end balance of the statement in Naira, How will a trained visa officer not check out the currency of a statement and clumsily assume it must be naira. There can not be a higher level of contempt or skepticism for Nigerian applicants from these guys. They are ripping Nigerians off thier hard earned money and I bet they are enjoying it, Yahoo Yahoo Embassies! Thank you for the GCMS link |

So, i went to VFS to check on my passport and it’s still not ready. I went on Tuesday, today will make it two weeks since I submitted my passport for the VISA stamp. I’m not worried, just eager to leave so I can come back home in time to face work. I really need a break! Someone asked me about bank statements, I downloaded them from my banking app and uploaded them online. I also got a letter from my account officer to verify my corporate accounts. I also included my tax statements to show I pay taxes in Nigeria. My case is very peculiar and like I previously stated I will give details of my application once I have my passport in hand! |

I read somewhere online that every time a VAC officer goes through your profile you get that update. Don’t know how true it is but it was on one of this Canadian immigration websites. FYsol: |

This wasn’t necessary for me. I used my statements that I requested online via the banking app. ifyalways: |

Hello, please I need some advise. I am currently on study permit in Canada and i wish to invite my mum over to visit because I am expecting a baby. Is it wise for me to state in my letter of invitation that she is coming to take care of the baby or should I just say she is coming to visit me on a normal basis? Also, I wanted to apply for my mother in-law at the same time. Will applying for both of them same time taunt the chances of my mum getting an approval? Thanks |

This question is one of the reasons why they aren’t giving people VISAs. No. You cannot relocate with a temporary resident Visa. Please apply for a PR Card. Don’t go and be an illegal immigrant! smatadex: |

Please I don’t know if I had fall victim to Canadian unskilled work scam because I did biometric 9th October 2018 but if I am tracking it now it tells me That THERE IS NO RECORD FOUND, please what does this mean hope I haven’t gotten ban from Canada immigration, can I go to their embassy to go make enquiries directly. A screen shot of what it shows is being uploaded here.

Eseries:See, there are ways to go about it. Irrespective of their travel history, Canada is tightening her visa issuance. @ the bolded, if thats the case, they should forget Canada now. My advice: apply diplomacy to establish trusts that they would return to Nigeria in the following ways: 1. Let the husband apply alone. He should address the concerns raised in the letter by letting them know his family will remain in Nigeria and be his ties. 2. He should list places he wants to visit as a tourist to address the concern of purpose of visit. Abi, you are going to a country and not mentioning the activities you will engage in. 3. If he gets his visa, he should go alone. The wife can then apply alone when the husband is back and do the above. 4. If both parents got their visas and traveled and came back, they should then apply for their kids may be next year when they plan another family vacation. This is my advice. |

I know this doesn’t count for this thread but I think it will shed more light as to why Canada and the US are limiting people they give VISAs. We are our own problem! Next time anyone complains about not getting a VISA remember the people who made it hard for you to do so. Illegal immigration is NEVER the way! NEVER the way.
