MAY 29TH HAND OVER:

IHEDIOHA RENOVATES DAN ANYIAM STADIUM AHEAD OF INAUGURATION

Following the lack of cooperation that has allegedly been shown to the Inauguration and Transition Committee set up by the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo State by the outgoing government of Gov. Rochas Okorocha, the Governor Elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha is currently funding the renovation of the state's known Inauguration ground being the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.

The repair works which is handled through the Transition Committee of the Governor Elect is seen fixing two major parts of the stadium where most of the activities for the Inauguration is expected to hold.

A piece by one Chimdiebube Anosike, dated May 18th 2019, quotes the Secretary of the Works/Venue Committee, Arch Chidi Clinton Okoli, as confirming that the renovation exercise is completely funded by the Governor Elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.

He noted that the State Government has not contributed a dime or even cooperated with the committee in the rehabilitation and renovation process.

“We are renovating all the Toilets, both the VIP and the ones at the public stands. It’s sad to note that there is no functional toilet or bathroom in this whole complex. We are also repairing all the seats. Painting the walls and fixing the barricades. The deranges are all blocked and we are cleaning all of them up. By the time we complete what we are doing here, I’m certain the place will be habitable for Imo People and our visitors”, Okoli noted.

Speaking further, He commended the Governor Elect for standing up to the challenge of rebuilding Imo, stating that Ihedioha has shown that He is indeed prepared to Rebuild and reposition Imo.

The Stadium will be hosting the Inaugural interdenominational service on Sunday, Novelty football match, the Mega youths concert and indeed the Swearing -in Ceremony on the 29th of May, 2019.

This is being done from his personal funding as the governor who controls the state's funds have refused to release a dime for the refurbishment of the venue, the Dan Anyiam stadium which has been abandoned for the past 8 years by the government of Rochas Okorocha.

Jobless Nigerian youths have found for themselves another man to hate after Okorocha. Even if he turns Imo to Europe some people will still hate him because of his ethnicity

You say this with pride as if the funding is an act of philantrophy. Its a loan the state must reimburse with interest and fees.

God forbid that a Yoruba governor-elect will be so naive to declare his incompetence publicly that he is spending money out of pocket to repair a state-owned stadium. May God never ever give us such a governor-elect anywhere in Yorubaland.

That's why you keep getting sub par leaders that have no real motivation apart from that "Tinubu said I should be governor "

You will never get good leaders who are impatient to alleviate the sufferings of their people imposed by APC.

You only need to travel and get educated. Travel is part of education. The only igbo state stagnant for 8 years is imo because of APC.

The different is that your mud region had lost a lot of her people to other tribes, developing their states and those that aren't developing their are developing Asia prisons

Ask yourself why your kinsmen don't want to settle in East? If it's about house building East would have developed, no human deserved that third world war and mud region

Most igbos build schools, markets, roads and bridges, give scholarships and electricity to communities out of their own pockets. It's a normal here.

What ihedioha is doing is normal in igboland.

Igbos travel out to make wealth, and ensure the wealth reaches home. They return during holidays to enjoy their money and felicitate with family and friends.

So not being Economically viable to survive the people of your region is now something to be proud of?

Why must you travel out to make wealth?

Does that mean there is no wealth in Igbo Land?

You just admitted that there is no wealth in Igbo Land other than poverty and suffering

You just admitted that you can not prosper in Igbo Land unless you travel out cheesy

The Chinese businessmen has almost taken over your country.

The isreali has taken over American and European business spaces.

Is your yorubaland better than them?

What matters is not how you choose to play, but the final result. As at the last time I checked, Igboland is still ahead on all indices of development than your region. So, go figure grin
