it could also be called. 3-ethyl-5-methylheptylmercaptan

How can your carbon-3 carry 3hydrogens when you already have other attached bonds? And carbon 2&5 also has extra bond. Carbon can only carry 4 bonds. This compound is wrong.

With the right no of bonds

3-Ethyl-5-Methylheptan-2-thiol
