Misplaced priority, It's simple, their is no country in the world where those plastic bags are not being used, we are just too poor in the area of waste management, the bags are recyclable and can be remould into other products, Singapore and many other well meaning countries do that, nothings stops those lazy lawmakers from thinking in that direction, this will not only guarantee job security for those already in the business but create more job opportunities in the area of waste management.

It's not done anywhere in the world that Reps will instruct FG to build paper bag manufacturing factories, before prohibiting the use of nylon. It's left for private individuals to take advantage of the opportunity and go into paper bags manufacturing.

Wish they can set up a plastic bottles/nylon collection centre in each geopoilitical zone. Cash for Nylon and plastics.Trust me,our streets will be clean.

Nice initiative. I strongly feel this campaign should be carried to our secondary schools. To engage the teens/youths during holidays. Making small bucks while contributing to clean environs won't hurt.

Paper is biodegradable.Plastic is not.Please Google it.

Great news, though I don't expect implementation. "Pure water" should be banned as well. Cheap plastic/nylon bags, and "pure water" sachets account for most of the waste that clogs up our streets, drainages and waterways. We will radically mitigate the problem of non-biodegradable waste the day we ban these items.
