This has got to do with the status quo generally in Nigeria.

And even with regards to Apapa, There are lots of politics involved with that port. Plus the port is overburdened... when the Badagry port is completed things may get better. I think this government is trying.

If The foundation is destroyed... what can the righteous do?

Bad roads
Lack of space for trucks to park.

Congratulations to transporters. The military has been feeding fat on the traffic management especially the Nigerian navy. Succour has come to the transporters. This is one of the best news. You al can see that the FG can work ONLY if they want to. cost of trucking of containers will drastically be reduced and export would be promoted more.

Apapa road is a federal road. The military(naval) and paramilitary(customs), have probably taken over jurisdiction. Thereby, denying the lastma and the traffic police access or control over traffic activities.

No one, apart from PMB can give them d directive, to shift their attentions, elsewhere.

PMB's visit, is a state visit, and mountains are moved, to make it hitchfree. So much so, movements in d entire Lagos is affected! Not just apapa. Such restrictions, can't be placed on movement during the VP's visit.

The military and paramilitary, probably think it's their duty to create those roadblocks and moving for d presidential visit, was just a temporary thing.

my guy i used to live in Apapa,Police ,Army,Navy, LastMAN etal are stuffing themselves into Gluttony. Keeping in mind that the Trailelers are parked all along Ikorodu Road beginning from FADEYI and continues along Western Avenue all the way to the apapa axis. Clearing this mess is a great decision, but Implementing it will be a nightmare.

Whether PMBs visit was a state visit or not isn't d issue. D issue is if d gridlock was cleared for 24hours cos of d president, y couldn't it b cleared 4d residents & d people that use d roads everyday? Is it d lot of these people to suffer cos they aren't d president?

If d military & other paramilitary guys have been setting up roadblocks, what has d govt done to discourage them or punish them all this while? Or is this govt not fighting corruption?

Nigerian government incompetence, will make a simple situation seem like rocket science....they had to wait for Baba to issue a directive on a traffic situation...quite a shame, with all the all para military apparatus being paid with tax money...the only job they are doing well is robbing Nigerians. What a mess.

So our president is now a road safety officer. If I was FRSC I will be using those people to make money.
