Much ado about nothing.

See, when it comes to movies or series, there are some people whose RATINGS/opinions usually sync with mine on Nairaland and helps guide me in my download/seeing of movies. For example, Koice, I tend to enjoy his movies suggestions as they align with mine. He has suggested some series/movies which i didn't like as well.

Like sometime last year, when Koice was suggesting series for some people, he avoided The Blacklist, I didn't know why then, but I decided to download 5 seasons of it and after 3 episodes, I regretted not asking him if the series was worth it. I still rue that decision till today.

So when IB, whose ratings/appraisal of movies has always tallied with mine, said she's going to see the movie, I decided to use her appraisal to judge if the movie is worth me going to cinema to see it.

Two of us are different. We don't behave alike; while you may still go ahead to see the latest Hellboy despite it being critically adjudged a failure, I won't try it. I watch movies based mostly on ratings.

Of course, that is why I said it is my opinion. You have a different perspective on the matter

Sorry my mistake.
Been so long.

In other news, I was minding my business on the forum front page when I saw a man being lynched.
Being the ever compassionate person I am, I interceded on his behalf and pleaded for mercy cos the beating was getting too much and someone might give up the ghost.

When the aggressor finally listened to my pleas, lo and behold, who did I see at the receiving end of the whopping?

Seeing is believing, see for yourself grin

Hate to rain on your parade, but JeromeBlack is right on the money. As someone that actually lives there, I can authoritatively tell you the cops hate black people, and the health care system is very expensive indeed. If you don't have medical insurance, you're_fucked.

I wish I can reach across the internet and slap that Trump asslicker that quoted him. angry

Alexistaiwo, I thought by now you would have sense. Even your main man, koice, pointed out that I was right.

Let me get you in on a secret. I don't argue too much with Trump fans.

Secondly, I was not being lynched. I was flooded with so much ignorance that i left the thread.

It is not my fault that you cannot understand how backwards America is compared to the rest of the developed world.

cool

Actually, the L meme has been so overused that it now means the opposite.

It is the loser that actually tries to cover his loss by claiming the other person got the L.

You thought you could ridicule but you were rightly corrected by koice

I thought you'd go on about how you schooled in Europe, helped built the wall of China, helped Benjamin Franklin and Co draft the declaration of independence and many of your remarkable feats during your sojourn abroad grin

Its inferiority complex that is worrying you. There is nothing special about living abroad.

Granted, European countries are better than Nigeria but it is not something to be boasting about.

Your issue is that it pains you deeply that I say these things that you dream about like childsplay.

Which kind paradoxical hypocrisy is this now? cheesy

How can you say there is nothing special about living abroad when you always call me Kazeem because I am a local guy and never miss an opportunity to reference the fact (unconfirmed) that you schooled abroad only to then turn around to say that it is inferiority complex that is making me home in on what you told me yourself.

You are suffering from Exferiority complex grin

Quentin Tarantino has come out to say "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" will be his last movie, but won't be his last visual storytelling. He said he'll do some work in miniseries.

Furthermore, he has already kicked off his miniseries career by splitting "The Hateful Eight" into 4 parts of 50 mins episodes, with additional scenes. The Hateful Eight miniseries is currently available in American Netflix.

I call you kazeem because you reason like an agbero. Are you the only Nigerian based person here? Why don't I share local names for other people here?

And who told you I schooled abroad?

I am just your friendly neighbourhood spiderman spare parts dealer. From mushin

02tvseries is for Tv series & not movies. If its TV series you seek, then koicereloaded is in a better position to help.

Apocalypto- A mini-history lesson.

A couple of historical inaccuracies, great attention to aesthetics, hair raising grisly depictions of blood, great attention to aesthetics, heart pumping action, minimal creative licencing, great attention to aesthetics, great attention to aesthetics, great attention to aesthetics!

8/10.

Children of men...8/10
Genre: Drama, Sci-Fi, Thriller

This flick starts up with an interesting, original & promising concept & also presents a convincing, depressing but realistic future reality, down to little details. It sure did have some strong political & moral undertone. Nevertheless, From a storytelling perspective, the movie presents a thin story, loosely tied scenes, and not enough character development & finally, It lacked momentum. For a flick that was Nominated for 3 Oscars & had another 48 wins, i kinda expected way more.
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by mekaprime: 8:12pm On May 22, 2019
Daphne & Velma...1/10
Genre: Action, Comedy

For the love of Scooby Doo, pls steer clear of this flick. Terrible script, bad effect, awful acting& 100% predictable. Sure, Scooby Doo is quite predictable, but with this flick, 5mins into the movie, you already knew who the mastermind was. Once again, for the love of your precious mb, pls steer clear of this flick.

I hope to undecided I mean there has to be some that are worth the while. I like to believe we are not doing bad all round.

For example Genevieve's Lion Heart got acquired by Netflix, I know it can be argued that it was done to gain Nigerian market share and not necessarily because it was a great movie but that shows some promise for our movie industry.

I would like to see folks here speak good about a Nigerian movie. The recent ones tho not the classics.
