Thank you EFCC for your tireless work over the internet fraudsters. Job well done.
But pls, what about TINUBU, GANDUJE, FAYOSE, OSHIOMOLE, AKPABIO, AISHA BUHARI, SHERIFF, UZOR KALU, AJIMOBI, OKOROCHA, AMAECHI & other looters like that, what have you done about their case?

The above has always been my prayer.

It is very painful to lose your money, I have lost mine to them before so I understand how painful it is.

Most of the unscrupulous elements supporting these fraudsters are yet to get a befitting treatment from them, I am sure when they do, the narrative will change.

One of the most ridiculous things I have heard in this country, is the argument that Internet fraudsters should be left alone because politicians steal money, or the fraudsters are only taking back what belongs to us. This narrative shows how deeply messed up this country is, and how people no longer take pride in doing the right thing.

This is how people applauded kidnapping about a decade ago because the White Expatriate workers in Nigeria were the major victims. Now we kidnap one another, even new born babies that are fellow compatriots, the whole country is now living in fear.

Evil should be condemned no matter how little or harmless it appears.

This man if found guilty, should be sent to jail for a long time so others can learn. Giving these people six months or one year jail term is not enough.
@Bolded,
The idiot should sent to jail for so long that by the time he comes out, the only people that can remember his songs would have already become grandfathers and grandmothers by then, using walking stick. grin

Freddyw:
Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday spoke on prosecution of popular musician, Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley.

A statement by EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, quoted Magu as saying Naira Marley was picked up over internet fraud charges and not because he is a musician.

He said: “Let me use this opportunity to emphasize that we have no issues with any member of this very important sector of the country.

“I have said it in the past and I will also like to restate, that the EFCC does not go after any innocent person. Our mandate is to rid Nigeria of any form of economic and financial crimes, and internet fraud is not excluded.

“There is always intelligence report that our officers get and investigate before effecting a warrant of arrest, and we don’t arrest innocent people”.

He noted that the concern for the increasing cases of internet fraud, prompted him early in the year, to constitute a Task Team given the task to stem the tide of internet fraud in the country.

“This Task Team has since swung into action, and the outcome of what you have is the increasing cases and report of EFCC operatives rounding up internet fraudsters across the country,” he added.

He, however, noted with concern that “I don’t like arresting them, but what can we do, we have to do our job.

“While I restate our commitment to continue the intensity of rounding up internet fraudsters, I strongly urge you all to join hands with the EFCC to promote the culture and gospel of hard work with dignity”.

BUT EFCC OFTEN GOES AFTER THE UPCOMING PEOPLE OR COMMONERS.

What happened to the big veteran politicians who have continued to recycled themselves on our political institutions whether we want them or not.

Governors have immunity from prosecution while in office and after office they are let go.

The terms are however too short. Unfortunately these jokers for all their noise about repatriation have not targeted senators or politicians, maybe out of professional courtesy for their fellow thieves.

If they had defrauded a politician, by now Nass would have amended the necessary laws to decades

These six month terms will not cut it, unless magu gets inventive and tags them registered financial offender or something like that

When would magu be prosecuted?

When you accept my proposal.

Do you still want to see Magu prosecuted?

Or you want him to continue as the chairman of EFCC

Did you arrive from the land of the dead? Sane Nairalanders know when OUK went to court (either fake or not) or is it when hammer is applied to his head?
For "Gandollar", basic certificate should have afforded you the understanding that NO ONE can prosecute a sitting governor.
Nigeria is not run like an autonomous community!

Lol

Mr. Magu Mugu when you go prosecute all our past/present leaders no longer covered by immunity clause that squandered our national cake and brought this country to its present sorry State??

Misplaced priorities with selective justice thinking they can end yahoo like this.

Boys are getting smarter these days for your information. No be when you see exhibit for my phone and lappy you go call me yahoo boy??

The last I checked Jay-Z made most of his money from drugs and cocaine and even sings about it being a drug dealer. Baba even win Grammies with am sef. Why DEA never arrest am put am for jail say he dey influence American youths negatively??

Whether una like am or not naija boys must continue to dey press because na our oil work be that. Lai lai, not when the children of the rich and influential people are working in big companies and the children of the poor/common man are roaming the streets just to see garri soak.

Bro Thumbs up to you, most Nigerians that are supporting EFCC on this task are jealous of G-boys because they notice that these guys already have their future planned and secured, I laugh at many suffer head folks that are happy about Naira Marley arrest, In the next 10 to 15 years most of them would realize their mistakes and count their losses for been against Yahoo because at that time the rogues in the government settings would successfully destroy their future and the ones of their unborn generations, some will clock 40, 50 even 60 without no tangible achievements to showcase about their existence. #Takethebullbythehorn.

Nice one. The law against internet fraud should only be made stricter. These guys are making us loose face everywhere. A guy got a gig on upwork worth about $3000 but when the woman found out he was Nigerian, she cancelled the order because she had been scammed by a Nigerian before. #saynotointernetfraud

God bless you. I wanted to use my Payoneer card on ATM one day, I started seeing errors. Only to login to the account and discover it has been TOTALLY erased and transaction history erased too! I was too shocked to weep openly.

Boko Haram started with Igbos and Christians, a lot of people left their belongings and ran for their dear lives while thieves and lazy people had a swell time. They came with cutlass only then, can we say the combination of all northern states couldn't fight people with cutlasses? NO!

Instead, some greedy and lazy ones joined because of what they were gaining and some even took the pain to be searching for the abode of Igbos and Christians, not knowing what they were bargaining for. They even got sponsors to buy them weapons all in the name of eradicating INFIDELS from their land.

Then, suicide bombings came, bombings of mosques and mass killings. The situation has gone out of hands now, where are their homes and children? How many lives lost now? Where is their peace now?

And the law has failed to deal with the evil people that continue to destroy the fortune of helpless citizens. You should have a rethink Yahoo boys aren’t the problem of Nigeria, let the senators reduce their bogus salaries, a governor of state should stop the pocketing of monthly security votes cash and a house of rep member he/she should judiciously make use of the finance allocated to his/her constituency, if all this anomalies aren’t put to an end , high numbers of Nigerian youths and generations to come would continue to engage in crimes because they will also want to survive hunger
