Someone should please help o.

I gave birth on Monday and have been battling with no milk production from the breasts, I have washed with some herbs, used hot water massage. Now the breast has started producing little quantity of milk.

This morning while bathing I noticed the lower part of my right breast is very hard (but not painful).

I've been crying and praying that it shouldn't be what I thought it is.

I want to check it till next week before I go to complain at the hospital.

Please, has anyone experienced that?
continue breastfeeding, it will go. it happens when you are having milk production. if you are feeling feverish due to that, take paracetamol and make sure u wear your bra always. the most important thing, breast feed your baby from time to time.

As at last week, the soap was #1,925 while the cream was 2900.I got the one they wrote healing cream on coz of the rashes then.My baby use a soap for 3 weeks although we shower morning and night.
I don't think its advisable to be bathing babies with soap twice in a day. just morning is okay, then use only water for them @night. my opinion though.

Abeg isn't there a place in abuja i can get the 12months immunisation at a reduced rate? The prices i am seeing is ridiculous o. Chicken pox is 6800, mmr is over 13k, dpt is over 11k etc. Pls help me tag abuja peeps abeg. I stay at kubwa.

I went to the health center at the national library in Area 2 and I got meningitis and mmr for 10k and vitamin A and OPV free. They said Dtap is 4000 and PCV booster is 4000, they don't have chicken pox yet. I have someone that works in Asokoro general hospital and found out that PCV booster is free there and they are expecting chicken pox vaccine by the end of the month, I hope this helps.

Good evening mas n sirs.... Pls does anyone know what makes some babies cry out of their sleep? I'm beginning to get worried as it's becoming more frequent... Pls don't ignore... Thanks
depending on the age. cos it happens to toddlers more like 2yrs and above. I will say its too much play and unrestlessness during the day, but at same time, I will carry the child, pray and plead the blood of Jesus.

if its a baby, its because they want to suck at that time. if they don't cry, how will you know baby is awake to suck? grin grin

Do you air dry the soap in its case or you cover it up after using?
Just wet your sponge, rub the soap on the sponge so it can lather well, return soap to its case and then bathe baby.
3wks is too short o even if you use it morning and night.
we have been using ours max 3MONTHS.

What!!!3 months.I really need to learn oh. I put it in the middle of the sponge while she bath and put it back in the pack as soon as we are done. I don't air dry it, just cover it up after use. Thanks so much sis, I'll try this style tonight.

Imagine the coincidence. I finally got it today at federal staff hospital gwarinpa. Chicken pox was 8500, mmr was 5500, meningitis was 1000 while pcv booster, opv and vit a was 200naira each.

But is it true the chicken pox and mmr is takes in two 2doses cos the woman told me to come in about a month or so for the second dose. That's another 14k.

No idea. I simply follow the schedule my hospital gave us plus I'm on health insurance so I don't pay for most immunizations

I guessed right.
That putting soap in middle of the sponge na big waste. You are washing off the soap with water at the same time you want it to lather.

Sebamed doesnt work that way even the one used by adults.

The soap gets soft and kinda melts when it is covered up in the soap case so its better to leave the soap case open so it gets dry.

Cheers

is she running temperature at intervals? Have you tried steam inhalation or nasal drops too?
since she's not taking any meal, that's a sign of discomfort and loss of appetite.
I will advice you take her to the hospital and run tests for malaria and infection so the doctor can prescribe the right medication.

cheers

Yes it is taken in two doses o, God help us. You got very fair prices as it is the nurse at the health center in Area 2 is a scammer. I gave birth at Federal Staff gwarinpa, I used to live in Kubwa but I've moved far away that's why I didn't go to Fsh. Did you take Dtap, it seems I will leave that one o, I'm tired sef.

Oh really cos we’ve been using it for almost 5 days now but since it’s not advisable we’ll have to dilute it before using .thanks
Please it's not meant for the skin, not even when diluted, it's really strong and harsh. Just leave a few drops on your bed or on a wrapper not too far from the baby and she can still breathe it. For this case you don't even need it, just make sure she's covered when it gets cold.

Sounds like the onset of sickness, please take her to the hospital and insist they run tests, the earlier you start medication, the more crisis averted.

Mamas please a me ooo, i find it hard to sleep at night even when baby is fully asleep but i sleep in the afternoon. I don't know what to do, please advice me on best ways to make me fall asleep
Don't pressure yourself, if you can't sleep at night, find something useful to do with the time, if you feel less pressure to fall asleep, sleep would come.

For your second question, why haven't you asked your school if they would let you bring the baby. You're the only one that knows how your work environment is and if they would let you carry your baby. Or you can get a post-secondary school age help to come to school with you and watch the baby.

As for creche, I don't know how much the school pays and if it's worth spending money on a creche. My cousin who teaches in a secondary school put her baby in a creche close to her school where she paid N500 per day. She said their services were decent and i thought the price was fair enough considering her salary and the fact that there were days she could take the baby with her to school. So if you find a service like this too, you could consider creche.

Pls house i really need to know how long it takes that milk that comes out of a baby breast to stop flowing. N if at all they give any medication for that let me know as well.

My lo is 5weeks n d milk still comes out
Ignore it, most people don't press it at all and it stops on its own.
