Hi guys. Great and fantastic work happening here.

Please we got the ready for visa mail. However, madam passport has 6 months 20 days to expire. We cannot renew the passport since it is not 6 months yet. And the mail also says the passport must be at least 6 months for passport submission.

Question is can we send the passport to Accra since it isn't 6 months before submission. We also need to send the passports within 15days of ready for visa mail.

Has anyone submitted their passport within a few days to expiration and gotten their passport stamped.

Thanks for any advise given.

Hello Joo and family,

I just got off a call with an agent and it appears that it is Accra that issues the PPR letter. He said Ottawa has finished processing the application and sent a mail to Accra to request for passport. What do you think please ?

joo2018:
You are close. Next is PPR.

The PPR letter is usually the last action of a processing office prior to transferring to the local VO for finalizing (final decision, CoPR and visa).

DECISION TO TRAVEL

The decision to travel was made after a close friend of mine told me he was moving to Canada with his family in July 2016. Previously, I was not keen on leaving Nigeria mainly because of the perceived cost of such a decision and the choice not to take any desperate steps to leave Nigeria illegally. When my very close family friend left, I reconsidered my position and decided to make plans to move to Canada with my wife and son.

FIRST IELTS
My first ielts was written in September 2016 and my score was LRSW 6.5,7,7,8. I was not informed about maximizing my scores back then hence I took no steps in that direction. My spouse also wrote the test in early 2017 and her scores were ok...I can’t remember the exact scores now.

ECA
I started processing my unilag transcript in October 2016 and went through the usual delays at unilag. As at that time, I had just finished my Master’s degree in the school so I had to wait a few more weeks to send my Master’s degree request to CES, the evaluation body I used. It took about 6 months before i finally got my evaluation report. In between, my wife evaluated her 2 post secondary certificates with WES and obtained her evaluation report also.

Dang! I'll suggest you don't waste your money remarking that. It is easier to get a change in speaking and writing(both are subjective to the human examiners). The reading and listening are very much clearcut. So sorry. We will definitely get to the promise land.

Except for any obvious and unlikely error by the examiner, the score might not change. Listening and Reading are like asking what is 2+2. the answer will always be four in mathematics.

Hello Everyone! I need Urgent help regarding my NOC Code Selection. I have been working as a Primary School teacher for almost 4 years and I believe my NOC code falls under 4032. I have Bsc. in Accounting but below is the requirements for a teacher according to CIC,...Can I apply using this NOC code?? noting that I do not have all this requirement mentioned in the CIC profile.. is there anyone that has experience such issue before and still receive PR, kindly help as soon as possible.

Employment requirements
1) A bachelor's degree in education is required.
2) A bachelor's degree in child development may be required.
3) Additional training is required to specialize in special education or second language instruction.
4) A provincial teaching certificate is required. Additional certification is required to teach English or French as a second language.
5) Membership in a provincial or territorial teachers' association or federation is usually required.

Sure, your NOC is 4032 and you can apply with this NOC.

Also, you don't need to show that you meet the employment requirements listed in the NOC description i.e. your BSc in Accounting does not affect your teaching work experience.

Thank you so much.
One more thing please. How much did you pay at Q-life for medicals. (one person)
Scandinavian02:

We did Medical and PCC on Friday last week. It was a seamless process.

We arrived Q-Life at about 6am and wrote our name as No.6 (Family of 4). We finished our medicals at about 12noon and drove straight to FCID, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi. We met one Inspector Ibrahim (08034169100) who gave my wife and I the forms to complete, did the fingerprints, one passport each and a copy of our int'l passport. We did both for #10,000.00.

Parking space is not readily available so you would have to patronize the touts by the road side for #500. (i bargained and paid #300 sha).
