Copied. I have always wanted going for the MB. My only challenge would be in the issue of handling or manitenance by the people i intend leaving the car for. Reasons being that am not based in Nigeria but would be visiting Nigeria soon and would stay for a few weeks. I was looking at a car my people can properly handle in my absence tthough. Because las las na still my car e be even if say i no dey to dey drive am steady. Haha. Someone suggested i go for the camry since I won’t be around to maintain it myself properly. What do you think?
Maintenance for both is identical.

Handling is ambiguous...to be honest, I have driven a c class for 4 years and I haven't even opened the engine or changes the plugs apart from normal services the only thing I did to the engine was engine sitting and air flow that's all

Well , they have to get a great Benz mechanic

You don't open Mercedes Benz engines fillipantly ... except you're putting 20W50 oil inside like Mobil xhp, total quartz 5000

.....it's a pretty old one ..the 2000 model. That car is so rugged and has fuel efficiency of bettles! But the newer models are still amazing from what I learnt but a little but techie!

Maybe we would upgrade in the name of God but this 2000 model (America spec) is one hell of a stoing car

Did a short trip of about 135 kms today. So i decided to play a little bit on my way back, couldn't sniff near HeavenlyBang and Nwanneni dem record, liver no gree me pass 140km.

I can categorically confirm the on board computer is padding my fuel consumption stats, by my own estimation i used 25-27 litres of fuel for that movement.

>135km

5km/l is pretty bad, tbh. I'd have expected about 8-9km/l.

I'm just surprised. 5km/l is about what I get driving around town, and I'm the one who's supposed to have the gas guzzler. Guess I shouldn't be complaining, haha.

Probably should go for a tune up.

What do you Mercedes folks think about this C180?

Run away, or explore.
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Eddee(m): 4:23pm On May 26, 2019
Oga HeavenlyBang and Nwanneni how far? Had an emergency business deal to close and so I, decided to keep tabs in respect to fuel consumption as regards your figures. And i noticed a marked improvement when i drove responsibly, like anticipating slow downs and acceleration, no unnecessary kickdowns and maintaining an average of 70-80 kms throughout the over 160 kms i drove. Even with AC on, I used about 22-24 litres from my own calculations, is it that I'm missing something somewhere or probably because it was raining today and yesterday the sun was well, the sun.

Roughly 16mpg, up from 11mpg yesterday. Shocking.
I guess driving responsibly is just that important.

Damn, never paid attention to these things... Just went with the flow. I guess that's why I love the work you guys put on here. Cheers

Yeah, enjoying that car, got the speedo serviced and it's up again working fine, refilled the AC and it's chilling again been using it for weeks now, no issues. Spent 120k on the car to get it to my taste with a new paint job and it's a cruise all through. But I feel its not as fuel economical as I was expecting as compared to a friend w202 C180, I don't know why.

IkpuMmadu:
That is a good car, air flow is a small case, I would have loved to buy that but manual tranny is something wify hates

You are right just like other cars c180 is a 1.8 litre engine while the c200 is a 2.0 engine so going don't expect them to have same fuel economy

But it's economical compared to it's mates

That car is fucking too rugged and fuel economy is awesome....parts cheap and the engine military grade...very strong car. Only thing is air flow meter but it spoils once in 2 years and it's cheap like 6k or 7k ....

Always looks like the w251 R class. Too big grin - drove a friend's own, too torquey and raw for my liking.
