Mine is a w202 C180 too sir.

Then factors can cause the fuel consumption, check your AIR FLOW , CHECK YOUR PLUGS , LEAKING EXHUST AND OW sensor.....

Yeah, enjoying that car, got the speedo serviced and it's up again working fine, refilled the AC and it's chilling again been using it for weeks now, no issues. Spent 120k on the car to get it to my taste with a new paint job and it's a cruise all through. But I feel its not as fuel economical as I was expecting as compared to a friend w202 C180, I don't know why.

Give us your fuel stats

Give us your fuel stats

I observed it on a 105km (Keffi to Lafia) journey today, i discovered I spent about 15l through the journey on a speed of 80km/h to 110km/h.

That is a mileage of about 7 litter per 1km.

Maybe you explain how to check the air flow, but I cleaned up the air filter myself recently.
I got the plugs checked already by my mechanic.
My exhaust is just fine.
Well I don't know what that OW sensor is.

Thank you for the contribution but you can explain further please.

How can this be done? The mechanic claimed the actuator on the car was swapped with that of C220 by the former owner. Should this be much of a problem?

O2 sensor is a sensor that helps in fuel consumption also check your catalyst converter

Bros check your alignment and wheel balance if they are ok believe me with MB no difference between 140km/h and 250km/h. Just wind up your glasses and press accelerator finish no drama. That's in my s430 am sure yours can do same
Eddee:
Did a short trip of about 135 kms today. So i decided to play a little bit on my way back, couldn't sniff near HeavenlyBang and Nwanneni dem record, liver no gree me pass 140km.

I can categorically confirm the on board computer is padding my fuel consumption stats, by my own estimation i used 25-27 litres of fuel for that movement.

Between the 2005 Mercedes benz c230 kompressor and the 2008 camry, which is a better option considering performance, fuel economy and reliability.
2008 Camry will save you money on the long run. But Toyotas are not Benz the feeling inside the car is different from all other cars. If you drive a Benz and after a Camry you will see the Camry is kind of inferior in more ways than 1. But you need to have lots of extra cash to keep MB. The car is expensive to keep. Buy a Toyota till you have extra

Oga HeavenlyBang and Nwanneni how far? Had an emergency business deal to close and so I, decided to keep tabs in respect to fuel consumption as regards your figures. And i noticed a marked improvement when i drove responsibly, like anticipating slow downs and acceleration, no unnecessary kickdowns and maintaining an average of 70-80 kms throughout the over 160 kms i drove. Even with AC on, I used about 22-24 litres from my own calculations, is it that I'm missing something somewhere or probably because it was raining today and yesterday the sun was well, the sun.

If I drive 80km to 90km/hr, I'll be getting 8.5l /100km as against dt 16l/100km

Roughly 16mpg, up from 11mpg yesterday. Shocking.
I guess driving responsibly is just that important.

I'll get 29mpg driving 80km/hr

If I drive for 70km at 80 to 90km/hr..... I'll use just 5 litres or thereabouts.

Where can the O2 sensor be located?
Are you trying to find the location of the Oxygen O2 sensors in your Mercedes Benz? Well, pictures are worth a thousand words, so here is one.

Take a look at the picture and it will show where the Oxygen O2 sensors are located. If you are trying to find any of these sensors: Bank 1 Sensor 1, Bank 1 Sensor 2, Bank 2 Sensor 1, Bank 2 Sensor 2 take a look at the picture below.

Bros Camry would not save him money in long run but Benz ...trust I know the reason j ran away from Japanese

My c class for the past 4 years I haven't even opened the engine ...the only thing I do is change oil and brakes

But Japanese it's tyrod today, bow joints tomorrow or jumping timing belt ( while Benz uses timing chain ) or leaking oil or stabilizer linkage or lower amp or engine sitting

Give worst us the blue smoke ! Japanese engines are not strong and their piston and rings weak ! Small time blue smoke

When was the last time you saw a Benz with a blue smoke....just keep watching

When was the last time you saw Benz in suspension failure

Japanese would not save you money at long run but it would save you money in the short run

Trust me

The engine of that camery is over 140k and it's not string the engine of c class or even the ML 320 I dey eye isn't upto 90k

Bros na true ... Benz or nothing now

I used a 4 cylinders 2003 highlander for 4 years I didn't open it's engine before I sold it. The only thing I replaced in that highlander was brake caliper and bumper. Apart from normal oil and brake pads and tyres. And No it didnt smoke anything I never opened it's engine .
Currently, my RX330 is 5years 4months 3weeks old (5th January 2014 purchase date) I haven't opened it's engine, it still purrs very sweet and it's still smooth and silent. Only servicing I've done all these while apart from recent shock change when I travelled at night and hit a dlarge pothole after being blinded by a truck lights.

Tell me the perfect meaning of reliability and low cost maintenance and longevity, I'd show you a Toyota and a Lexus. I need no other proof.

I dey my bed come and beat me grin
